You can give away anything you want. You can't SELL what you don't own.jim_mich wrote:So let me make this perfectly clear. You can't give away what you don't own. So first make sure you own the idea and get full title to it. Then you have the option to give it away, if that is your desire.

Re: re: So sue me.
You would never get a working wheel patented. Patent offices are government offices dont forget, or at least connected to the government, and the govt is connected to energy companies. They would make sure you wouldnt even get to prove your concept by simply drowning you in a hail of negative press...

I'm a great admirer of Tesla and his methodology.
I also agree with his attitude towards Edison and his.

re: Elliptical Track
It is clear to see by the design that the balls will travel faster on one end of the ellipse than at the other end, exactly like a comet in orbit around the sun. Let's look at the conical rod array by itself without the wagon wheel. Now let's only have two balls on opposing rods. Ball A is at 9:00, ...

re: Elliptical Track
The reason an elliptical path is important is because you can have greater speed at one point of the ellipse compared to other points of the ellipse. That's what Bessler realized. The orbits of comets were a new and exciting subject of science during Bessler's day and he was able to see that there w...

Re: re: Elliptical Track
GraViTaR Are you saying that your track is flexible and rotate (move) with the weights? If you still feel it works, Let us know what is different with your design to give it the working edge. If you get to the stage of “it should work, but it doesn’t leave it alone for 3 months and look at i...

re: Elliptical Track
Have ANY of you even completely read what I have posted and studied my pictures?
These examples you show are NOTHING like my concept. The Claudio Wheel is somewhat similar in the fact that there are multiple wheels rotating on different planes, but that is the only similarity.

Has Anyone Here Tried Truespace3? I Don't Really Like WM2D.
I've used WM2D, the free demo, but it's very limited.
I just downloaded Truespace, and from what I've seen so far, you can do all kinds of cool things with it: in 3D.
Anyone experienced with it?

re: Elliptical Track
I looked at all the pictures I could find and I don't see any that are even close to my idea.
Maybe you can point me to something that I may have missed. But it looks like my idea is completely original.

re: Elliptical Track
Scott, I have a few questions. Did you use an eight-spoke wheel or another number? Were the rods you used flexible or rigid? Were the holes through the balls similar to what I drew or were they vastly different? At what angle did you have the rod wheel positioned in relation to the main wheel? What ...

Elliptical Track
GraViTaR I was looking at the angle of the spokes your hole would have to be of a wide hourglass shape. (To avoid confusion from this point on, I will refer to the "umbrella spokes" that pass through the balls as "rods". The main wheel consists of "spokes".) A pivot of...

re: Elliptical Track
Here is a picture to better illustrate.
You can see that the ball at 9:00 has tremendous torque. In comparison, the other balls are so close to the axle of the main wheel, that they exert very little resistance to the counter-clockwise rotation.

re: Elliptical Track
Another thought on the "umbrella spokes": The weight of the ball at the nine o'clock position on the main wheel is not only pushing the main wheel down, it is also pushing the umbrella spoke wheel down with more force since it is farthest away from the hub. You are getting two for the pric...

Re: re: Elliptical Track
GraViTaR I have been looking at your drawing. I see you need in your umbrella spokes, a hinge and a slide for each one to keep it from binding or you will need a pivot on you wheels somehow. I am not a fan of this type, for there have been so many non workers. Try to simplify it somehow, the less y...

re: Elliptical Track
Here is an alternative to actual, continuous tracks: Picture an umbrella frame only half opened. We have spokes emanating from the hub to form a cone. The spokes from the partially opened umbrella hub would guide the weights, which are now balls, again, through the elliptical path. The balls ride in...
