re: energy producing experiments
The newest cylinder and spheres; The one inch diameter spheres are 152 grams each. This is a missile (spheres) mass of 304 grams. The PVC cylinder has to be correspondingly long. The cylinder has a mass of 1082 grams. This is a spheres to total mass ratio of one to 4.56. At the release speed; the 20...

re: energy producing experiments
Actually your experiment is great proof that I am right. You have energy conservation with a table that is about to fall over. The maximum speed is the first 1/240th of a second; why do you use the average of 42/240? Ballistics measures muzzle velocity not the first 1/6 of a second. I calculate that...

Just what I thought; never mind a good experiment you have the numbers you want.

re: energy producing experiments
I would suspect that about half of your motion is in the wobbling stand and arm. I also know that at high velocities there is a tremendous loss of motion to air resistance. And you just mentioned bearing resistance. You are just going to call me hard headed; but maybe it is you that is hard headed. ...

Wow; I will get my IT guy working on it. It is a three dimensional experiment and there is no interest in the falling velocity. Thanks for the information.

re: energy producing experiments
There are three Concepts who’s formulas have been used to evaluate the back and forth motion of the double stopping cylinder and spheres: they are; Angular Momentum conservation; Kinetic Energy conservation; and Newton’s Three Laws of Motion. They will be dealt with in order. Gravity produces a ...

re: How can adding more mechanisms increase rpm and power ?
If the lowest descending drive mass is flipped or thrown from bottom to top then there is nothing on the ascending side of the wheel. Then the more drive masses you have on the descending side the greater the power.

re: energy producing experiments
For determining initial release I use the fastest rate of square motion just as the spheres and cylinder are being released. I keep in mind that a video is being made so I try to keep the arc velocity uniform at release, and then I try for an average of the last four frames. I try not to get one las...

Broli The pictures I have are clearer than what you see. What you see are pictures of a monitor; and it is one of those old box types. So the quality is not state of the art. And a picture of a picture is always a down grade; mainly the glare I suppose. You have to realize what data is being sought....

re: energy producing experiments
Kepler designed angular momentum for object under gravitational acceleration; and for satellites it work perfectly well. But it is a huge misunderstanding for things in the lab. Kinetic energy has tremendous application; but it is not conserved. If something is moving in an arc; and you cut the stri...
