Re: Karl doomed the sale.

maybe - but remember that he also said, that he was surprised that nobody has never thought about that (solution) before. I believe that makes this single thought quite unique...never ever thought of before in whole history of mankind! As a statement of 'copyright' and IP, you can't get it much bett...

Re: WM2D Help Required !

Can anyone help: Where do I get this WM2D software?

Is it for free?

Design Simulation Technologies don't seem to offer any "Homework Edition" for free - only a so-called "Evaluation" and one as an "Educational Pricing".

best regards

2WW wasn't very smart.
Many smart people immigrated to US.
US' global military involvement after 2WW makes me wonder....

And no, I'm not very smart: I can't figure out your sketch.

Re: re: Poss. Symmetry Break?

The counterforces upon the axle may be important - note the far left of this image, where the system apparently attaches to the wall via a pivot and bracket: https://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/museum/people/bessler.htm ...which has clearly been migrated from THIS illustration: http://www.besslerwheel.c...

CF make the pole swing - from backside of the wheel to frontside: Axial swing.

The 'bang' is when the bob hit the frontside.
