re: Can Bessler's wheel be patented?

Hi John, I am pretty sure that you could use such a license for a mechanical design. Maybe the best is to contact the FSF (free software foundation). you will surely find someone there to help you. It might result in a modified GPL license tailored to a mechanical design. Today, the GPL is there to ...

re: Can Bessler's wheel be patented?

Hi John,

Why don't you just put it under a GNU GPL license ? Like this, all the derivated work will fall under the same license.

re: An explanation for the 22,5 grades angle

This can be just another coincidence, but it's like the 'leg shaped A' of Bessler.
But where are the legs? (I would rather say the foot, the A with the non-horizontal bar has also two little foot on Bessler's drawing)

BTW, Still amazed by all your posting...

I must have been 15 or 16. I have read an article in a scientific review in a public library. I have found the subject fascinating...

re: A failed attempt at decoding the AA mystery

Dear Path_finder, On my opinion there is no particular mystery within the A shape. Just a way to make a corelation with the jack-scissor mechanism, perhaps used somewhere in one of the Bessler's design. Sure, I totally agree with you about the meaning of the shape of the A. The problem is that this ...

A failed attempt at decoding the AA mystery

Hi, I call the "AA mystery" the fact that there are two types of A in the MT drawings (see the book of John Collins: Maschinen Tractate). Johann Bessler is sometimes using a normal A letter on some drawing and sometimes a A where the horizontal bar has a V shape. Sometimes, the two types o...

re: Most important clue?!

Hi Martin, What Bessler says here make perfect sense if the lighter weight is covering a bigger distance down than the heavy weight up. Let's take an example: The light weight is 1Kg The heavy weight is 4Kg If the light weight is descending 40 cm down while the heavy weight is going 10 cm up, well, ...

re: We don't care the Bessler wheel, the most important is t

With all due respect, this could very well be the reason we have not seen a working device. I am sorry Axel, but the only reason why we have no working device is the lack of cooperation between the people. We (including myself) all want to be The Winner and do not want to share too much, just a lit...

re: We don't care the Bessler wheel, the most important is t

Hi Path-finder, Thanks for your new posting. It is still not clear for me how you make the rod go back on your ideal path at 4/5 O'clock. If your design assumes more than the above clues, let me know and you will be the winner. I am personally convinced that they are many many way to make a gravitat...

re: We don't care the Bessler wheel, the most important is t

Hi Path-finder, Do not worry, you are not the only one here. I am reading your posts with great interest also. I have two questions: - Do you have found a solution for the "return" that does not imply too much friction ? - Have you constructed a such wheel (and is it working?) I suppose th...

re: Rotation to Heat?

So where do you think the other 10% is going? Sorry, but duh!
You are right Ovyyus, the 10% are converted in heat but very close to the wheel. I suppose that you do not want a turning wheel in your dining room.
But if it is the case, you have then a 100% conversion rotation to heat...

re: Rotation to Heat?

Hi everybody, For me, the best way is to generate electricity (efficiency >90%) an then, to supply an electrical resistance (efficiency 100%). The electrical resistance is the only "component" that I know of that has an efficiency of 100%. It convert all the electrical power into heat. Gen...
