Before you run in all the buoyancy traps out there, you might like to have a look at the attempt Fletcher and I had :)

re: Forces from a Weight & 2 Strings
P.S. the simulation was running with 10 RPM. A little bit slower or faster and the result will turn negative again. The difference between our simulations is that in my one the weight shows a more realistic behaviour ( the swinging motion resulting from the gained momentum). I guess somehow I was lu...

re: Forces from a Weight & 2 Strings
I am totally unfamiliar with your simulation program. It looks like it has some really neat features. It might be a little awkward, but perhaps you could find a way to get it to do searches? Perhaps batch processing? I am obviously clueless here. One configuration you should probably test your simu...

re: Forces from a Weight & 2 Strings
Interesting observations, couldn't help myself and had to run it through WM2D. WM2D showed me that the torque sum was negative, so I exported the meter data and evaluated it with one of those free graph packages. You will see in the screenshot that it also calculates a negative area = negative torqu...

&c. He will be called a great craftsman, who can easily/lightly throw a hea...

Re: re: Why Gravity wheels don't violate the laws of Physics
Having trouble with basic physics, so please try this scenario on for size... Let's say I have a 10 kg ball on a table 1 meter off the ground. I go under it and exert a force just to the point where it still isn't being lifted and I've kicked away the table to get it out of my way. What's the force...

HELP LOL, I'm still not with you Gregory :) Anyone else out there got it? If the attachment point moves around the circle ... that's like the circle is rotating ... isn't it? Otherwise I could just use a rod from the center to the attachment point ? Maybe create 3-4 fake screenshots to explain the m...

Anyone got a copy of this article? Or has it already been discussed on this board and I just forgot it :)

It is the same thing, you can even exchange files between them. All you have to do is to change the file extension. So you can load all the published examples here on the board :)
Change *.wm2d to *.ip ( is it ip?, you get the idea)
Works fine.

Rainer

re: WM2D
Hi Gregory, hmmmm, not sure if there is an easy way to do this. One way to go would be to create a counter force attached to some objects to cancel out gravity. In the 'Y' field I would use a formula like this: Body[x].mass*9.80665 For sure, replace 'x' with the number of the object in question. Or ...

The left side for ORFFTH ???
I think we discussed this before, but I can't find it. What was it about?
