Probably it's not like this, but making the balls out of e-paper material (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_paper) and adding some reomote receiver in each, let anyone show them whatever they like at the same second.
With todays technology you can't trust what you see.

re: ToyPage Note
Hi Stewart,
thanks for your confirmation. Well I think that supports my idea, that the number "5." gives not the number of toys at the page but "only" the numbering of the note.

Ed, thanks for your hint about the large black block. I forgot about it that in this times all the drawings were cut in wood.
Anyone else can answer, if the top was printed or added by hand ?

re: Did Bessler discover the "Ekman Spiral"...befo
And still: "Vertical Vortex" has nothing to do with the wheels axle or the wheels plane of rotation. I do think it has to do. That is the reason why I highlighted the "oder". It tells that both terms, "die Welle" and "Axin ihres Vorticis Verticalis", describe...

re: Did Bessler discover the "Ekman Spiral"...befo
I ask myself if the word "Welle" (shaft) was to specific to Bessler, as in common sense, it describes a "perfect round stick" in the center of a wheel. He might thought, it does not describe well what he used, either because it was not a wheel but just appeared so (he himself sta...

re: Did Bessler discover the "Ekman Spiral"...befo
By the Vortices Verticalis movement of the weight, external load (or force) is applied to the shaft or axle, and this will drive the wheel. rudderodk, I don't read / see, that it is about the movement and how the weights apply their driving force to the shaft. "noch andere von außen an die We...

re: Did Bessler discover the "Ekman Spiral"...befo
rudderodk, Stewart, changed my mind, I agree, "ihres" relates to the wheights. They move in a way, that external load, applied to their axle or axis of the Vorticis Verticalis, is driven. ... and at the same time in their admirably quick flight, according to the proportion both of their ow...

re: Did Bessler discover the "Ekman Spiral"...befo
I disagree bluedanube - the red "ihres Vorticis Verticalis" also refers to the weights Stewart, you might be right or not. I understand the sentence in question "an die Welle oder Axin ihres Vorticis Verticalis applicirte Lasten" as the mentioned axle and the external applied lo...

re: Did Bessler discover the "Ekman Spiral"...befo
the word "ihres" is connected to the word "andere"...? It took me a minute to figure out, your image does not show AP but DT. So to answer your question, I had to read the whole context, which I attached now. The red marked "ihres Vorticis Verticalis" relates to "...

That is perfectly german written, and what the image shows.ruggerodk wrote:"/ noch andere von aussen an die Welle oder Axin ihres Vorticis Verticalis applicirte Lasten / mit bewegen und treiben müssen."

ToyPage Note
Ok, I start this new thread not to hijack the "ToyPage discovery: Anvil is NOT aligned" as my questions are not about the hammer anvil toy, but more about the toy page in general and a little bit speculation about the note. Many thanks Stewart for your explanation. I am asking myself a few...

re: Freefall Mass vs Weight
What comes just to my mind, and I ask myself, if it it can be useful, Imagine 2 seesaw or rod o) one has 1 pound on the left, 2 on the right o) the other has 101 pound on the left, 102 on the right. Both have the same unbalance of 1 pound, but the heavy swings slow and the lighter swings fast. Maybe...

re: Freefall Mass vs Weight
Decided to make my own thread on this concept as stated before, that all objects fall at the same rate regardless of weight, so steal some of the weight to do work somewhere else ... Yes, its a strange effect, that bodys fall with same rate independent of their weight. If so, that heavy body does n...
