re: Speeding up a wheel
I am pretty sure that the additional speed is happening because of air resistance. With no air resistance the counter rotation does almost nothing. Anyways I tried setting a motor to velocity and then set up to measure torque and power and force. Torque showed a sort of "M" shaped wave tha...

Speeding up a wheel
For a couple of weeks now I have been messing around with an idea. This is all from simulation software. It showed getting about 3 rpms or so more out of a wheel basically from swinging weights. The wheel works this way: 1. a motor gives a certain rmp 2. weights are released from the edge of the whe...

re: CENTRIFUGAL FORCE CYCLIC ENERGY GENERATOR
I had been working with a similar concept getting four weights to counter rotate while a motor kept CF going. Saw a great increase in energy but it all failed once friction was used in the pins. I still have other ideas Remember Bessler said that its in the swinging. You can get 1 pound to lift 4 po...

All ready did go through those pics bud,
But to be more specific how would you make a latch that grabs on at 12 oclock and then lets go at 3?
Thanks

Lever, latching/releasing mech.
I really am not very good at trying to think of how to get lever, or latching/release mech. If people don't mind I would like to see there ideas for the type of latch that could ofcourse be latched and release in different adjustable positions mostly the 12,3,6,9 oclock positions. All the ones I com...

Thanks rlortie, I will check it out, I have been rackin my brain on some way I can make this work. T. Edit: This is really neat for me I looked that stuff up and got this picture of the gears so people can see what you meant. Too bad I can't really make anything like that hehe, well I could I guess....

re: Need a little help with a mechanism
After thinkin for awhile, Two gears linked together does this motion. Where one moves clockwise and the other moves counter-clockwise. I just need to figure out how I can use that, if no one else has a simple solution. Jonanthan, I am not quite sure what you mean, heh but thats ok I get the idea. An...

Need a little help with a mechanism
I can't seem to figure this out right now, so instead of racking my brain I thought I ask for some help here. When lever "A" moves counter clockwise and I need lever "B" to move clock wise.

I think I finally got it, yes this one will work I just know it.... and then.... Damn I didn't think if that! lol Really teaches you not to get to excited about any idea you get huh? And you know what I still have a design were "I think I got it!" but I know better then to endulge too much...

re: Help with a latch design
Interesting Patrick, I will concider it and see if I can make it work. Thank you Jonathan, I had a similar picture of a latch as you shown but had a brain fart as to how to make it work.
Thanks,
T.

Help with a latch design
I have a design problem. I need a latch that holds as shown in the picture. The only ideas I have been able to come up with envolve parts being outside the revolving wheel to trigger the latching/un-latching. Does anyone have an idea on how to create a latch that would work within the revolving whee...

re: Grim's idea
Could you use magnets in there somewhere to generate a current from this thing? That way you wouldn't be touching the original concept.
Just a thought.
