re: Marking or storing specific posts
If you ask Scott (nicely, of course), maybe he could add a "URL" (or "REF") button up where the "quote" and "ip" buttons are, that could be used to easily "copy link" or "copy shortcut", so that specific items from a topic could be easily c...

re: Would JC contradict me ?
(This is not well-formed, but I feel the frustration of four/five years ago rising, and don't feel like improving its presentation.) Nothing from any specific instance of the squiggle, unless it happens to be "complete" (whatever that may be), with utmost clarity and no background garbage....

re: Would JC contradict me ?
Ovyyus, if you care to contribute that cropped area from your hi-res scans, I'd appreciate it. Ed, thanks for that - I forget about the archives, although even when I do remember them they don't always seem to retain things like the actual .jpg. FWIW: 1)I don't think they are exactly the same, even ...

Re: re: Would JC contradict me ?
Amateur, Please explain why you think this? Three plus (3+) differences I (think I) see (just taking the top third of the "squiggle"s), a for Mikey Ned, b for the high quality scans: 1a)an 'S' shape exists on left side (possibly a spring) seemingly connecting upper left weight, lower left...

Re: re: Would JC contradict me ?
ovyyus(/Ed), <snip> Of course I'm happy to post cropped and lower res sections of them to the forum for research purposes, as per the previous page. Could you post a high resolution crop of the "wallpaper" section of the secunda figura? The one online from the link Ed posted is definitely ...

WM2D does the parallel bars...
Hope this performs as spectacularly for anyone who's interested as it does for me.... For those of you who have the ear of the vendor, maybe this could be used to convince them they've got some problems... Note that after I moved one of the lower bars with "send to back", it "kicked&q...

Re: re: Bessler's use of Gravity
The design apprears to be out of reach for WM2D therefore it is all trial and error hands on building. I'll express one more time on this...I am pretty proficient on WM2D...some of my stuff is on here and should demonstrate that. This design needs 3D... Steve Maybe 4D would be enough... http://www....

Any/Every-one - what OS/version are you running silux on? I tried it on W2K quite sometime ago (with service pack 4), and it did little other than crash for me...

re: Finsrud's Perpetuum Mobile Protocol for Conclusive Verif
Has anyone asked Finsrud about building another one? Has anyone offered to fund Finsrud to build another one? If so, what was/were his response(s)? If he can produce two working ones, then he a) can document the assembly, b)presumably allow observed disassembly of one. I expect that he could fetch a...

re: Sorry Guys it is a Glitch...
Are they interested in other glitches? How'd you like to be the funnel...? If they are, I may be able to dig up several. Several people here have experienced the inverted polygon error - and I think it extends possibly to other "enclosed" areas that might be encompassed not by just one inv...

re: How to make a Wm2d Latch
A concrete example, using a rigid joint on top of a pivot joint, "catching" and "releasing" to provide "push" in one direction. The model built is related to the "four clocks in a wheel" paradigm mentioned in another thread. (I haven't ever made it work indefi...

re: Did Bessler use strings and cords?
I think it is likely that at least one of the very faint images in my interpretation of the doodle is a string/rope/cord. I believe it may cause the upper left weight to lean more toward center as the arm it is mounted on extends upward/leftward. I think the lower right weight may be suspended by th...
