Re: How Difficult can it be?
Fletcher, apologies for not getting back to you on this subject...the best description of this design..just like the childrens hoop and stick to keep the hoop rolling a touch with the stick now and again....the free heavy wheel free to rotate on the axle retained by collars)...the axle heavily weight...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
I have to say there is some terrific interesting reading on the forum lately, there seems to be more openness by the members discussing where they're at and what they're doing, the input makes excellent reading and generating more interest on what we're about...truthfully reading these blogs make very...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
This is my opinion of Besslers weights ,to me he knew how to send witness's on the wrong way of guessing how his wheel worked...think on this a number of weights in pockets round the inner circumference of his wheel, equal spaced ,to keep wheel balanced and create a very heavy wheel....puts his hand ...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
Thanks Fletcher, having read over that...i should add this to explain better, then i'm finished....(hope it makes sense)...when rotation starts the weight of spoke/hammer at 1 oclock...at approx.5 oclock the disc starts to speed(being separate)away from the spoke /hammer...and before the spoke/hammer ...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
Time to spare this morning....to conclude this design....what we have ..an A frame..betwixt an axle ..two bearings and housings ...four retaining collars..to locate axle twixt bearings and locate and contain free rotating disc on axle.....now the tricky part ..precision/static balancing is ultra imp...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
I'm not here to argue with any,the mindset from previous posts is how many weights to drive the wheel....this design i@m trying to show is about ..the heavy wheel, alternating between that and a flywheel...it is the DRIVER...your thought on this will be different to what you logically think....rememb...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
To continue....to me Bessler was a great illusionist ,covers ,gubbins, banging noises ,thumping whatever to distract attention...this has been well discussed before many times....this design to understand you must go back to the basics without predujice disgarding your own thoughts....so...simple bi...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
To continue,..the spoke number is important to some here ...but the question is..when is a spoke not a spoke..how do we see and make it perform a different task and in a different manner....in preparation you need these instructions and information,..perfect balance...precision build..excellent bear...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
To begin,i very much admire the dedication of Aldo Costa to persue his design to completion ,if it had a fault in my opinion ,too many spokes making it very difficult to balance which upsets its O/B objective although i believe ,just my thoughts ,if in a vacumn and balanced at the outset it would ha...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
Please don't think i'm knocking JC or anyone else here i know Bessler did what he stated and statements are transcripts of witness's views and JC did a wonderful job collating and printing same ,hope this explains my take on them....

Re: How Difficult can it be?

Re: How Difficult can it be?
Fletcher, this is my view of all Besslers witness's of their statements,..they were all eminent in their own fields ,no disputing that ,but they had an audience after viewing to return to ,they could not go back empty handed,i'm not saying they lied but used their own point of view of what they obser...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
Fletcher,as you and others here will know i had success with ,my hollow drum ,fixed baseplate to axle/hub design...but it had complicated mechanism working through aperture in the axle and very little power to drive.....This design when you see and comprehend how it works will i assure you and all h...

Re: How Difficult can it be?
Question to ask those interested something to think on,....How many spokes were in ole Besslers wheel,..if i remember correctly ,both sides of his wheel were covered with canvas,..so 1 spoke, 2 spokes, 3 spokes,4 spokes, 5 spokes, 6 spokes,..or more ....by my reckoning it is 1 spoke to the hub ,whic...
Re: WWIII
Walt, war offers no solutions only dead people, war should only begin reluctantly when all other avenues have failed,no side gets what they want, they get a compromise in talks but the mindset has to soften to accept this .I have lived during many conflicts, always dead people, think Vietnam,Iran,Iraq,no...
