Re: Hypothesis .. Raising GPE without using Law of Levers ? ..
So in this one i tried doing the same thing Fletcher did , but instead of pulling B2 with B1 , i tried pushing B2 with B1. B1 is located at x=0 , B2 located at x=-1.4 , A separator link links B1 and B2 with a length of 0.7 . B1 is pushed by -5 nm until the separator reaches 0 length , which then pus...

Re: Hypothesis .. Raising GPE without using Law of Levers ? ..
JB: For this reverse version , the result is that the work done equals the change in total kinetic energy 1st leg and 2nd leg. eta ,1kg each and pushed with -5 nm , to clarify with reverse i mean , instead of starting with B1 and attaching B2 to B1 later, B2 starts attached to B1 and is released fr...

Re: Hypothesis .. Raising GPE without using Law of Levers ? ..
I did a reverse situation , B1 and B2 are connected with a link of 0.7m , B1 is placed at x=0 and B2 is placed at x=0.7m , a pause when B1 has an x position of (less than or equal to -0.7) <=-0.7 and a pause when B1 has an x position of (less than or equal to -0.9) <=-0.9 , the link (rope/rod) is ac...

@Fletcher afai can see , the rod measures around -6 watts on activation for a small period of time .

Re: Hypothesis .. Raising GPE without using Law of Levers ? ..
The point i was trying to make is it happens around the mark after the rope tightens , as for an explanation - i personally dont have an explanation which i can visually show , i changed the rope for a rod that becomes active when B1 reaches 0.7meters and the result is the same , my suspicion is it ...

Re: Hypothesis .. Raising GPE without using Law of Levers ? ..
@Fletcher (im using the absolute values , eg -5 = 5 , -24 = 24) Okay second leg , you show work done does not equal the KE . For the work energy theorem : W = Δ(KE) Work = Change(Delta) in Kinetic Energy , which is the difference of the initial Kinetic energy and the final Kinetic energy . Leg 1 , t...

Re: Hypothesis .. Raising GPE without using Law of Levers ? ..
@Fletcher , i have not been feeling well for a couple of days and as a result have been ghosting around here for brief moments , i have looked and read and are following . As far as i can follow the first leg , you have shown (in post Sat Nov 16, 2024 2:47 am) that the mass (B1) which is half the we...

thats okay happens to everyone , if there is something that worked then i guess 99 percent nothing is going to work .

Re: Gravitational shortcut
Have you tried having the weights at any angles other than 90° JB? If you can try them with different angles, you may be able to find an optimal angle, which could help us see what's going on. I mean the angle between the two short arms with the weights. The bar that twists, at present twists 90°. ...

Re: Gravitational shortcut

Re: Gravitational shortcut
Hope this helps my explanation , when the tab/arm is to the side it is at a larger radius than when the arm is to the front/back , in this 3d representation , the weight is moved in and out via a rotation along a vertical axis along a radius on the surface of an imaginary sphere along the two indica...

Re: Gravitational shortcut
The pivot point is at the same distance from the centre, not the weights at the ends of the arms that pivot. Imagine the small arms with the weights being 4.5 miles long. When the arm with the weight is perpendicular to the arm it is pivoting on, and parallel to the axle, it will be exactly the sam...
