well, where I live it's officially winter now and I learned it doesn't work well in winter for some reason. now whenever I let it sit outside I only produce about .03 or .04 volts. Because of the weather there will be no video, sorry about that. Here's my instructable: http://www.instructables.com/i...

ok so here are real numbers that I measured, after 1 hour it produced .08 volts on a 220uF capacitor, not that much. Later I'm going to do an experiment using aluminum tape

I think it worked like this: The earth's atmosphere and the earth it's self is like a giant capacitor. Whenever lightning strikes the capacitor is discharging or sparking over the dielect. When you use this setup is sucks the charge from the earth (caused by clouds moving) and stores it in your capa...

Tesla was the modern day besla

I just tested one of tesla free energy patents and it works!!! woo hoooo, yeah! By putting a piece of aluminum foil in the air, having one side exposed and one side insulated by gluing on a sheet of paper, holding it 4 feet in the air and letting it charge a capacitor it produce .33 volts in 1 hour....

Ramp

I havn't thought of this Idea all the way through, but technically a weight on a perfectly level plane then with the slightest of push it should move along. Going at a slight incline it takes very little effort. A weight going straight donw could push a weight up a ramp at about 2 o'clock posistion....

re: Random Thoughts on the Bessler Wheel

I'm also working on a wheel (only about 27 inches in diameter, small budget) and it looks simliar to yours, except I didn't use a peg b oard, which seems like a really good idea and I wish i did that before I bought all the materials and cutted everything, I'll post picture of my wheel later, I shou...

re: Hackenberger motor

I don't fully understand the working of the wheel, but it would make a lot of sense if it worked 1) Bystanders heard scratching noises from inside the wheel 2) cylinder weights 3) Use of springs 4) Simple 5) Weights get their energy from their swinging 6) Each arm resembles a bow, from the apologia ...

re: Supplies

thanks for all the replies! I had to scale down my wheel to about 2 and a half feet in diameter due to budget, good tools, and space. 1 whole side is plexiglass and I'm going to put some sarann wrap on the inside that I can replace once in a while, so the plastic shouldn't get scratched up that much...

re: Supplies

Lucky for me next weekend is bulk waste day where people throw away huge stuff that normally the garbage men wouldn't take.

About the lead weights, isn't lead a little expensive, and isin't melting lead hazzardous to your health?

I'm interested in building a Universal 6 ft in diameter wheel. Does anyone know where I can buy big sheets of hard clear plastic? I'm hoping to have the rim be solid and the 2 faces of the cylinder be clear so that I could observe what's happening on the inside. Also does anybody know where I can bu...

re: interesting toy

I saw this like a year ago, they really work, but your not getting any energy from it, it's like a magnetic spring if you will. A comparison to this would be a spring. You pull it back and let it go, wow there's a lot of energy cause it moves fast! Not really, because you put the energy in the machi...

re: Weights

if this has been posted before, then sorry cause I can't read a whole page like that, I just can't. I think it's simple why bessler use cylinders, let me list the whys: 1)it's easier to make 2)if it's simply rolling in a straight line then it has more mass and thus weigh more, probably making the wh...

False weight

Just so you all know if I don't reply back then I'm just to lazy to, yup, I'm pretty unreliable... lol This is one of my latest ideas that you have all probably thought of 100 million times... If you were tu use springs to counterbalance weights on the opposite side of a lever or some means of a sim...

is the length of a pendulumn directly related to how long it can rock back and forth? Or is it the weight of the anchor?
