re: False weight

forces (as by a spring) can be really useful, since they are not affected much by inertia....That problem is, to help on one side always seems to hinder the other.

re: Veljko Mikovics device, and some ideas

'Brian Berrett has invented a generator using Milkovic's device which is well worth checking out. Description and photos are at http://peswiki.com/index.php/OS:Milkovic-Berrett_Secondary_Oscillator_Generator Jeff L.' First thing I see- get the coils closer to the magnets! you will need less power fo...

Is an O/U wheel possible with out moving weights?

My first instinct says no, but weight can be mounted in many ways, with the forces to the wheel split between 2 or more points through levers....I keep thinking there has to be a combination. My mian idea is this:you cannot control a weight if not moved, but if you can control its torque sent to the...

re: This should have worked if oob wheels will work

For ANY 'Farther out, farther in' overbalance scenario to work, it MUST work on an ARC, that way the leverage is changed. See 'Roberval Balance' shows it perfectly. As shown, considering belt twist and sag, thing could get interesting...

re: A paradox...

I am of the opinion that moving weights out will NEVER work; others here agree. The double lift kills you-once at the bottom, and again at the top (to reset) I am attempting to make a wheel with no weight motion or temporary motion only to get around this...

re: Give gravity time to act.

Georg, I agree with your water wheel example, the trick is finding the minimum distance required so one water wheel does not 'see' the one above. It is friction that keeps the water flowing slow enough to do this....if you had a series of dams in a river, as long as the outlet ports are JUST above t...

re: video of PM machine

There could be a diode under the capacitor....but I still don't get this- the 2 wire ends on the top are not connected?! If he was really close to a AM radio station, that might be the power source-I went on a service call to home like this, the tv/vcr cable connection could strike little blue SPARK...

This forum has been quiet lately, so....

This is the calm before the storm flurry of working wheels (A nice mental image there),or everyone is out hunting turkeys, or you are all playing with your WII...........or your PS3 :*)

Which is it, folks? (Happy thanksgiving!)

re: spring=force or weight?

Springs can be used to 'bias' off a weight. As you describe it in your post, the weight would 'weigh' 1 pound at the top and nothing at the bottom? is that right? If the spring was a long one, it could be done, what do you have in mind? I have found springs to be useful-they can act like a weight to...

re: Gain force from their own swinging.

Quote from "MAC"-About the "grindstone" reference... Possibilities? - gyroscopic effect, flywheel effect, or both. - its position rotated with the wheel, or... - it hung inside the wheel and rotated in one position. -------- Indeed, yes, that is what I see too-it just hangs there...

re: Gain force from their own swinging.

Quote from 'John Collins' "The fact that the one-way wheels began to turn spontaneously as soon as they were released seems to me to rule out CF and any other kind of rotation-induced force that might be deemed necessary to instigate motion, since that force would need to be present from the st...

re: Simpson Baton Gravity Motor looks amazing !

CF can be controlled very easy...just use 2 wheels, separated by a belt/
chain, whatever (think a bicycle chain) no matter what the run speed is, there
is NO CF on the straight parts! If the straight part is made vertical, weights can be shifted to your heart content!

re: Is gravity different from a spring?

Sorry if these were mentioned before...there is a VERY important difference between gravity and springs-gravity can accelerate weights downward with no physical connection to the wheel itself, and also no reaction force to the wheel while doing it (untill it is stopped of course) Raising the weight/...
