re: Catch & Release Mechanisms?
Thanks guys, I will explore my local hardware store today. The size of the wheel should be able to support a large gate or door latch. I wasn't intending for it to be as big as it is but once I started building the components then assembling them onto the wheel frame it is almost touching the ceilin...

Catch & Release Mechanisms?
Gents, I am trying to design a system whereby a weight swings into position and is locked there by a pin or latch. The wheel then turns 180 degrees and the pin / latch is released. I was thinking of something along the lines of the spring loaded botton on a ball point pen. Can anyone else offer anot...

re: New accelerating huge wheel with big torque !
Isn't a little suspicious that after presenting a video of a working PPM the inventor's website has been "closed for construction"? Has Big Brother silenced the man? Will we ever hear from him again? Is this the start of a conspiracy theory?

re: interesting toy
What would happen if the track was circular and channelled the shooting ball back around to the other side? When it hit the row of balls would it send another shooting off like Newton's cradle and so on until the magnet was at the end of the row?

re: Weights
Jim, you wrote there would be a total of 16 weights based on one pair of pairs per mech. This would make 64 pounds of total lead weight. If the eye witnesses mis-judged the weight by 25 percent then the total weight could range between 50 and 80 pounds. I don't agree. Bessler’s wheel turned with c...

re: Weights
I have also pondered why Bessler did not allow the ends of the cylinderical weight to be touch whilst being held in a hankerchief. What could possibly be identified by the person holding the weight? It would have to be something easily recognised by touch, even through the folds of a cotton hankerch...

New MT idea
Regarding Besslers MT… Everyone has noticed that “A” is missing from MT13, right? I keep looking at MT13 because Bessler has provided a hanging weight to support a roller at the top of the wheel. The hanging weight can be concealed inside the wheel, hiding it from inquisitive eyes if the wheel wa...

Has anyone seen this website before? The inventor boasts some impressive ideas (if they actually work...)
