re: The Clues...
What are we missing? We live in the same world as bessler. There is nothing he could do that we cannot. Gravity remains the same. Its like an IQ-puzzle. I gave one to my brother and his family 4 years ago. Its a horse, a stick and a tree, connected with ropes. On the rope there is a ring. Get the ri...

re: The Clues...
Well Im not an expert on scissors, but im a bit "hung up" in them because they are mentioned so many times, and the "this is not the time to show the correct application of the storks bills"... But the only way to satisfy myself is to try. :-) Ill let you know how it goes. Thanks...

re: The Clues...
Hmm I havent seen the german text before. "Werk" I believe is more "machine-ry" When I see "cross" instead of crossbar, it makes a bit more sense according to my ideas Zuge= chains? The mechanism can be anything, just hidden in a wheel-case, so I just try to pull out th...

The Clues...
Ive been reading the clues up and down, back and forth, trying to narrow it down a bit. There is one "paragraph" in particular that I cannot let go; "If I arrange to have just one cross-bar in my machine, it revolves very slowly, just as if it can hardly turn itself at all, but, on th...

Where is the springs?
There was a description of the wheel, where Bessler pushed down on a spring as he reinstalled the weights. The spring then expanded upwards. I cant see any springs i his drawings, except for flexible "spring" steel in MT18. I cant make a spring fit in any idea Ive had. It can probably send...

re: New guy, new idea?
Thanks for the comments guys. Kas; you might have saved me for a couple of hours in the shed. But what about a "flatter L" and shorter arm for the big weight? Would be less weight-difference but easier to lift. Or does it null out with the little weight going inward at 9`o clock? And I don...

re: New guy, new idea?
my mistake. The "inner wheel" is not a wheel, but the ca-path of the big weights. Both weights are attached to the stiff "L" which is "hinged" to the rim. Hope that clarifies a bit.

New guy, new idea?
Hi there This is my first post on this forum. Ive spent hours and hours reading threads, and I can see theres a lot of brain around here. Ive been twisting my head on the wheel for a while too, but Im not good with math or computer-drawing. I have to build it to see that its not working.. hehe.. My ...
