Thank you Jim,
I recall hearing something about a divorce but did not connect it with you. I now understand why you have not been building, Divorce in some states takes longer to finalize than others. I believe here in Oregon it is one year.

It takes a while to understand some things that Bessler wrote. In today's modern era, the word 'wheel' does not have quite the same meaning as 300 years ago, when the most common meaning of a 'wheel' was a wood wagon wheel with its wood spokes and iron rim ring. Bessler's wheel was enclosed, so we do not know if it was constructed using spokes. As far as we know, Bessler's wheel did not have an iron rim ring. My point is that Bessler's wheel was not a wagon wheel, but if one wanted to call it a wheel, then so it shall be called a wheel.Ralph wrote:IIRC Bessler did not originally describe his machine as a wheel for it had no rim, those who looked upon it called it a wheel and Bessler said so it shall be called a wheel. Not the actual words but close enough to make my point. To my thinking a rectangle inside a drum would be more effective.

On a personal note, I just wanted to say I'm sorry you've had to go through that. An amazing number of my friends have had their wives leave them, too, so I've seen the sort of toll it can take on a person.
Now, my friends may not have been the most exciting of fellows and some of them may have even smelled a little bit (lol), but they were devoted husbands who would have never left or even just stepped out on their wives. So, it's kind of hard to understand - for them or me.
Of course, though, I don't have such problems. I'm able to drive women away before even getting close to marrying them! It's one of my many gifts. ...which may have saved me a little heartache - or maybe not. I have had a lot of time alone to think, I guess.
Anyway, good luck with everything.
