Smithy's back.

Post by Smithy »

Hey All,
I've been away for quite some time, well not exactly, I've been watching, learning and admiring the ideas of everybody over the last 12 months or so, lurking if you like.....and I must say, I'm very impressed with some of the thinking, especially in regards to the AP translations etc. I wish I could read, speak and write old German, would make things a lot easier I imagine. No, I haven't discovered PM, far from it, I've not had anything much to do with mechanical PM at all, I have been fiddling with magnets though, very interesting subject indeed, but I don't think they are related to our Mr. Bessler, I don't believe he used magnets or loadstones of any sort in his wheels, I believe them to be purely "mechanical", for want of a better word.
Some of the older list members may remember me from some time back, well, I'm ready to give the whole PM thing another shot, sort of lost interest when all of my ideas and constructions failed, so I had a bit of a sabatical...nothing new there I imagine.

Cheers, from down under,
Smithy.

Sorry Fletch, hey Bill,
Our cricket boys are doing quite well lately aren't they?, what's happening to the "Black Caps", they've never really been as good as when Sir Richard Hadlee was at the helm have they, don't dispare, they'll come good mate, mind you NZ is just an eastern state of Australia anyway isn't it?? Says I ducking for cover.... ;-)) Hopefully the Bledisloe Cup will produce a good contest this coming year, I quite enjoy the rugby, how agout those Welsh in the six nations then?? Bloody good stuff that!

Cheers,
Smithy.

Yeah mate, can't disagree with you there. NZ's population is 4.75 million of which 500 thousand live on your fair weather island, mostly collecting the dole paid for by your fine hard working citizens. Ah well, our loss ;7)
