Dear raj,
What mean the half-doted lines? Are they some springs?
And is there any belt linking the both small circles?
Please give more specific explanations?
Thanks in advance.
I cannot imagine why nobody though on this before, including myself? It is so simple!...

Dear Path_Finder,

I shall come with full descriptions of this new speed doubler mechanisn in a few days. I hope you don't mind.

Suffice it to say that, of the few speed doubler mechanisms I have come up with, so far, this new speed doubler concept looks far more promising.

Regards

Hello Path_Finder,
As promised, here I am, trying to explain my new Speed Doubler Mechanism.

The drawings are complex, and its not easy for me to expain the concept.

1. the parts ( in red ink ) in the drawings below, show the large drum wheel with inner rims at half radius.

There are two sets of spokes inside the drum wheel, with free rotating broken axles in the centre.

2. The parts (in blue ink) show two, very heavy 'H' shaped smaller wheel, hanging and rotating on penduliums from the broken axles.

3. The lines (in green ink) show strings attached at 45 degrees intervals, starting from the 12 o'clock position, at the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions at the inner rim of the drum wheel and at 90 degrees intervals, at 12 0'clock position on the external side of the 'H' shaped wheels.

The drum wheel diamater is eight units and the diameter of the 'H' shaped wheels is two units.
The strings are four units long.

By this special arrangement, when the drum wheel turns 45 degrees in either directions, the 'H' shape wheel will turn 90 gegrees.

4. The parts (in black ink ) show the inside wheel of eight units diameter(of my gravity wheel concept) with two small wheels of two units diamater on either side, on fixed broken axle freely rotable on inside spokes of larger drum wheel.

The inner side of the heavy 'H' shape wheels, on the pendulum and the small wheels (mentioned in 4 above)(both two units diameter) are geared 1:1 by belts (in brown ink).
That means both wheels will turn at the same speed.

I have, now, given my explations, as to how my new speed doubler mechanism is expected to look.

Assuming that the eight weights of my original gravity wheel concept will move, as so vividly shown in your fantastic animations, posted several times in here, the net positive unidirectional torques, WILL force the drum wheel to turn.

In so doing, every 45 degrees turn, the drum wheel will pull on the green string, on the ascending side, thereby forcing the small'H' shape wheels to turn 90 degrees.
That is the small 'H' shape wheel will turn at twice the speed of the drum wheel.

The small 'H' shape wheels are geared 1:1 with the small wheels on either side of the inner (8 unit diameter) wheel.
Which the small 'H' shape wheel and the inner (8 unit diameter) wheel will turn at the SAME speed/

And Since the small 'H' shape wheels turn at twice the speed of the drum wheel, then the inner (8 unit diameter) wheel will also turn at twice the speed of the drum wheel.

I NOW believe that I have a good SPEED DOUBLER mechanism.

My apology:

The outer larger drum wheel is 16 units diameter.
The inner rim is 8 units diameter.
The 'H' shape wheel is two units diameter.
The inner wheel is 8 units diameter.
The small wheels on either side of inner wheel is two units diameter.
The strings are 4 units long.
The pendulums are three units long.

Dear raj,
Many thanks for the explanation.
I will study this concept further more in the next days.
Before any full comprehension I have just one question: the big drum (16 units sized) seems to have no mechanical link with the rest of the wheel: how it is involved in the process?
Again many thanks for sharing.

Dear Path_Finder,

The 8 unit inner rims, where the green strings are connected, are connected at half way onto the outside 16 units spokes of the larger drum wheel, rotating on the external axles.

As such, both the 16 units external rims and the 8 units inside rims of the drum wheel act as one and turn as one and at the same speed on the external axles.

In other words, the inner wheel, rotating on the centre of the sets of inner spokes on broken internal axle, turns at twice the speed of both the 8 units inner rims and 16 units external rims of the drum wheel, rotating on the external axles.

Best regards.

My apology again.

One more rectification:

THE GREEN strings are SIX units LONG.

Greetings to all forum members.

This is just to inform you all, that, after so many months of working on this, my gravity wheel concept, I am, more than convinced, that there is something plausible about this concept.

Hence, I am actually building a concept testing prototype, based on my last drawings on here.

As usual, I keep you all posted.

Raj,

Good luck with your build. I'd be interested to see pictures of your build no matter what the outcome.

Hello everybody,

Before I complete and post my gravity wheel concept testing prototype, I am pleased to give you, the retail price and cost of materials I am using.

1. 20 30cm plastic rulers Mauritian Rupees 100.
2. 16 15cm plastic rulers '' '' 50
3. 1 roll sticking tape 20
4. 1 epoxy glue 80
5. 2 small hooks 10
6. 2 bearings 100
7. 4 large screws 40
8. 16 cds 80
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Total cost 480 mauritian rupees

Equivalent to less than UK £ 10. (ten UK pounds)

Could you now guess what kind of workmanship, will my gravity wheel concept testing prototype be.

Here is a picture of a physical model of my gravity wheel (speed doubler mechanism) as shown in my last drawings above.
The final cost of material is £20.

This model shows speed doubler concept as good.

A working model attempt could be next.
