Congratulations if you really got one just like mine... my 7dot little girl... 8)

For the other side, there are people that look to have no stress and hurry to develop 'novelties'.

Beware!
Fresh news! Very fresh!
As I use to say, our competition never sleeps!
http://www.rarenergia.com.br/
They say it will be for 30kW in july and another one is now going on the US!
I got not yet time to think about this - I would reject this clue, truly.
Hard to believe that these guys wouldn't built this without a smaller working model.

Hi M !
Your connection , made me to remind Theo Jansen's kinetic sculpture , at :
www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=hHTuXe1rZr ... =endscreen
Rarenergia"s structure ,it's like a "creature moving on the spot"...?!
About a possible gravity powered device / motor,we have two problems:
-the "shape"...let's see the developments of "Rarenergia/Br"
-the size ("no fall,no power"!) , seems to be ok.

Al_ex,
yep!
Very similar indeed!
You got it!
There is something clever in this composition, an OU, maybe!
Mr. Jansen will love it! 8(
Edition to add:
- found this under our nose 8>]

They say it's moved just by 'gravity pistons', or something like this.

From primemignonite's Post : Thu May 02, 2013 10:45 pm Post subject: Bruce DePalma's "The Problem of Free Energy"
From “- Bruce DePalma's short essay - : -
“ One of my first discoveries, after having graduated from University, was that science and scientists in general were controlled in their activities by managers and political influences originating from individuals with no intrinsic knowledge of science. The feeling was that if there was a job to be done, a specification could be generated, money could be offered and technical people would step forward.
***************
This very impressive very expensive build by RAR , in scale alone is scary ! . If I was the originator and driving force of the concept being applied I would be scared to death on the day that the order was given to clear the area and crank up that 16 crank crankshaft . As a matter of fact I would be seen for weeks beforehand with a travelling backpack of spare underware , for three or four changes per day , constantly on my back .
I’m convinced this is an experimental build notwithstanding their statement of having a smaller working version in their offices .
The concept being “tested here is a very alluring one and can be developed straight from Besslers drawing of the Wheel equipped with the pendulums . But if it self sustains the rotation of that crankshaft then I’ll be a “ monkey’s uncle ( Disclaimer ;- looking at some of my relatives however I have to notify you that my processing equipment is used to produce nut products and may give rise to allergic reactions ).
I feel sorry for the concept originator here but unfortunately its not uncommon for “Big Idea managers in industry to rationalise big projects like this without understanding the pitfalls of moving forward on untested assumptions.
The unfortunate aspect of this is that if the money invested in these mega “ test projects was properly spent on research then the utilisation of gravity as the “fuel is a viable option . But first Nature has to sign off on the “form of the device which I greatly doubt if she has in this case !
And if she has 'signed off ' on this one then she has stiffed me , and I won't be too happy about that ?: )

Have had the solution to Bessler's Wheel approximately monthly for over 30 years ! But next month is "The One" !

Art,
It's really hard for me to believe that anyone in the mainstream corporate world would advertise something like this or finance a test build of this size without first having seen a working prototype of some kind.
So, I don't really know what to think.
Unless I'm overlooking something or there are significant components yet to be added to the device, I can't really see how this thing could work.
I guess only time will tell. I probably won't waste much more time of my own trying to analyze it, though, at least until there is more information.
Whether it is just a public and expensive test of an unsubstantiated claim, an elaborate and expensive hoax or fraud or perhaps even the real deal, seeing something of that size is sort of amazing, however.
Even Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" was sort of based on already proven technology, though.
I guess I better try not to think too much about it and just get back to my own stuff.
Good luck.
Dwayne

I sent right now a msg to a good friend that's neighbor at there.
If he can, of sure, he'll take a close look...
He's not a FE friend... he's normal. (8(

My friend, local resident, tried a visit but couldn't come in.
At least, this address at Porto Alegre is correct.
He got the e-mail of an engineer for possible future communications.
This means: this is the mystery we expected from guys that are building the great stuff. 8(

I live about 215 miles from where the "Spruce Goose" now resides. It still amazes me that a single story three bedroom house with a 4:12 pitched roof will fit inside the root of each wing. she is so well proportioned that from a distance its size is deceiving.
And yes a lot of research and testing of other companies seaplanes were utilized, some borrowed some bought and some stole. Do not forget the Pan-AM clippers and Navy Catalina PBY's.
As for this crankshaft driven parallelogram looking monster, I have not a clue.

Oh! how the mention of Hughes and the "Spruce Goose" brings forth emotional feelings. I have always shown keen interest in Hughes Jr and his achievements. A coffee table hardbound book of his biography and the technical details and background of the "Goose" are never to far away for my grasp.Even Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" was sort of based on already proven technology, though.

re: try to appreciate...
Ralph,
I drove down to Long Beach from Los Angeles in 1990 (I believe it was) with a childhood friend of mine when we were on a week long visit to California. Long Beach was where the Spruce Goose was back then and we saw both it and the Queen Mary sea ship which was at the same location.
It really was impressive to see. I didn't know much about it at the time, though, or I might have examined it more closely. We tried to pack quite a few things into that short trip and this was one that was on my friend's list.
I also remember on that trip driving alone through the Mojave desert late one night in the rental car on my way back to Los Angeles from a very short visit with my aunt and uncle who lived near Edward's Air Force base where he, as a retired member, ran an officers' club.
I really wish we had had more time. There were plenty of things I would have liked to have seen and done on that trip that we simply weren't able to do, and we really didn't give enough time to things that we did do.
I really would have liked to have seen the Getty Museum, too, which is what I believe that friend of mine did while I was in the desert.
Anyway, I don't know what to think about this huge red monstrosity, either. At the very least maybe it can be a nice big distraction for those men in black while we get our own little wheels turning. ;)
...lol
On a personal note, are you all patched up now and good to go, I hope?
