These are 2 photo's taken within seconds of each other,of an overgrown, disused Church,it was abandoned in 1930's-40's,and has a reputation of being "Haunted"and locals, thieves etc.leave it alone .The stain glass windows were removed at the same time, note all slates/gutter leading are untouched ...what is strange is the sudden change of the environment and the glow from the centre window.....i climbed a tree to take these snaps and the sunrise was behind the building and there are no windows behind the tower.....an eerie place...

Hi M.

Here is a very rare sight of a " blooming " cycad , not a endangered species but a rare one . This plant is between 70 and 80 yrs old , it is about 2 meters tall at the stem and have " leaves " with length of about 1.5 m . The cone witch houses the seed's is about .5 m in dia at the thickest part , takes about 3 months to fully ripen and then burst open to shed hundreds of seeds , about 50 mm long and half as thick , in a very short time , (next day all is gone ) and can take 3 - 5 yrs to make a new cone . I was so lucky to have about 30 of the seedlings , very hard to try and grow , to take root . All the rare and endangered species are to be registered by law to stop illegal trade . People will spent many thousand's of buck's for a big plant , or one morning you awake and found just a hole where your cycad was .

Looks like Sheila Na Gig from the waist up without a bra to me .

But then I’ve got a great imagination : )

Man, why did I have to go and look up "Sheila Na Gig"?!

With my apparently even greater imagination, I was picturing some beautiful supermodel or something.

...lol

I don't think, though, that I have a great enough imagination to now erase those new images from my mind, but I'm trying

:(

I suppose its all about perception, different people see a different image,Murilo view it at 400% enlarged(4x)..i was surprised none noticed the large white cloaked figure near the end of the lane its a trick of light only seen when photographed from this position, walking towards it,it disappears.....heres a link to better photos of "The Dark Hedges"another lane(eerie),the game of thrones used the location and the late, great "Joey Dunlop"used to roadtest his racing bikes there, friends blocked the road at both ends.

Dwayne Quote “.. With my apparently even greater imagination, I was picturing some beautiful supermodel or something...

There’s hope for us yet , for those with imagination ! --

A snippet from the WikipediA entry about Sheila Na Gig : -

“ …..Mircea Eliade's The Encyclopedia of Religion (1993) draws parallels between the sheela na gig and the ancient Irish myth of the goddess who granted kingship. She would appear as a lustful hag, and most men would refuse her advances, except for one man who accepted. When he slept with her, she was transformed into a beautiful maiden who would confer royalty onto him and bless his reign. ….

“..,except for one man who accepted .

- Definitely need the imagination to be that “one man to have his reign blessed !.

I see a black cloaked and hooded figure at the top and a head with a mortarboard underneath.
