overunity.com off line??

Post by jim_mich »

I've been unable to access Stefan Hartman's http://overunity.com website for three days now since Saturday morning, and I'm starting to become concerned. I thought maybe my firewall was somehow blocking it so I phoned my IP tech support and they were also unable access it. Internet Explorer seems to find the address OK but then it just stalls until it times out and nothing loads. I tried emailing Stefan at harti@harti.com and the email gets bounced.

Can any of you guys from other parts of planet earth get http://overunity.com to load?

It worked for me, and I happen to be close to your area at the moment.

Jim,

I am using MIE, and am not getting anything but "Page cannot be displayed"

I also tried three other search engines with the same results.

Maybe Ed will play server for you! :-)

As for his E-mail, if I remember correctly, he has a blocker that only lets
authorized addresses through. To write him first you need his permission and be added to his list of acceptance. Seems like I went thru this with him some years back.

Thanks guys,

My IP provider is CoreComm. They tell me there is nothing they can do to help me. They tell me the site is off line and maybe others are loading it from cache?

Edit: That screen shot shows it is not loading from cache.

For those not in the know Steve has shut down his yahoo group. Here is a copy of the final posting there.

Description
Hi ALL,
I just finished setting up the new www.overunity.com
forum software on my new website.
Please go here and register :

http://overunity.com

I have choosen to use Simplemachines.org forum software,
cause it has some great advantages versus other packages !

One can use mobile WAP and I-Mode phones to access this forum board !
So you can check and post over here also, if you are on the road !

Also you can add attachments to your postings, so you can upload
pictures, GIF, JPG, PNG and movies too ! Also ZIP and RAR archive Files,
DOC and PDF Files, AVI, QT, MOV, MPEG, MPG, WMV are accepted to upload.
The attachment should be smaller than 7.8 MBytes.
And only 1 attachment per posting is allowed.

I hope you all like this board now better than the Yahoogroups.
I will close now down the Yahoogroup , so you can not
post anymore over here.
This Yahoogroup will only stay here as an archive,
so read-only access will be granted only.

Please go now to the new forum, which does not annoy
us with ads and other annoying things..
and have a look !
If you have a mobile WAP or I-Mode phone,
try it to access on the road !
It is really fun !

If you have some suggestions for a few more categories, please post this
inside the help group at the buttom.

Please register over there with username and passw.
Then you can immediately log in and also read and post messages !

http://overunity.com

Many thanks.
Regards, Stefan Hartmann. ( moderator)

overunity.com started working again. I got this message from Stefan...
Yes, the server has non resolving nameservers.
I must change the hoster as it is unreliable.
Please stay tuned.

Regards, Stefan.

Bummer. I think maybe it was something Jim said.....or was about to....

(insert outer limits intro theme here)

Maybe Stefan's gettin out during the 'tremor' phase....to avoid the big quake.
As most of humanity suffers under tyrants, misled by the devil and his cohorts who've recently been thrown down here, nothing short of Yahshua, King of Kings, will remove these oppressors and bring everlasting peace.

It seems that the Internet Provider Stefan chose can't handle the volume. Last time I was there a couple days ago there were over 1600 members. Being it is an interactive site like the Bessler forum here and must create the web pages on demand, the servers just aren't up to the task. Then Stefan added some ads to help pay the rent and everything got bogged down.

Stefan has posted that if anyone knows of an Internet Provider that can handle the software what he is running and at a reasonable price to let him know. He needs to switch to something more reliable.
