by the way:
yer cell phone can be turned on without you knowing it, too
they say THIS can be prevented by removing the battery
(but that assumes they never put a little capacitor in there to hold a little reserve charge for bugging)

and i know for a FACT that they can turn on yer land line phone and listen to everything in a whole room

i've seen it done--HEARD it done

this is a FACT no matter what anyone tells you

i'm sure they did this at WACO when they said they had smuggled microphones into the compound in magazines

that's what they said: "microphones secreted in magazines" that had been delivered during negotiations

but they just turned the damn phone on, i'm sure
because i've SEEN this done

My daughter gave me this tip 8 years ago i'm sure only a few don't know it...when your mobile phone is low on battery power....press keys ...star3370 hash ...on screen will appear..change active speech codec..press O.K. ... battery power will increase 50%...whether it can be switched on remotely..obviously a capacitor in the handset...just a thought..

From almost 7 years ago... http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/busine ... e_tips.htm ...
CLAIM: Press *3370# to access 'reserve battery power.'
False.
On some Nokia phones, users can punch in special codes and toggle between speech codec modes to 1) enhance voice transmission quality at the cost of diminished battery performance, or 2) enhance battery performance by decreasing voice quality. Apparently, some users have misconstrued the latter as "tapping into reserve battery power." On that score the email is doubly erroneous because *3370# is the code for enhancing voice quality — so using it actually decreases battery life!
I would guess that this only worked on the older analog type phones. If you are using a newer 3G or 4G digital signal phone, then I doubt this trick works anymore.

As you say Jim Mich,O.O.D.info.,my phone is Nokia 6100 ,old but small and suits my needs, she also gave me this code at the time in case it was stolen/lost which gives the reg.no.which i keep in my wallet and the network can switch off immediately/ remotely as i'm on contract,so a large bill is'nt run up,can't say if it works on modern phones...star hash 06 hash.....Just like my phone i'm "well dated"....

And They can also watch you through your TV, even if you have it turned off.... LOL (So be sure to keep your working wheel designs out-of-sight. ;-)

It's a good thing I don't have a TV! I finally threw that thing away.

You think my old computer CRT monitor is safe, though?

...lol

yeah--that was in that movie---1984, or brave new world, or feirhenheit 451, (or whatever that title was)
one of those:
the guy comes home from work and he has to open his briefcase in front of the TV screen, so the teli-gestapo can see the contents

********************************

hey--the latest thing in the news is that the NSA is joining gamer websites as PLAYERS--so they can intercept terrorist plans

like in SECOND LIFE---some elf could walk up to some dwarf and start talking in code about some terrorist plot
but maybe the NSA gamer could overhear it, i guess
that's supposed to be the logic
and we've just gone surrealistic

no--this is actually true
google it
another Snowden release, apparently

if there's a way to do it
then assume everyone's doing it
govt.s-commercial interests--idiot nerd hackers in their basements
autobot snots

treat everything like a walkie talkie
assume it's being heard(read-wartever)
and that includes recorded somewhere forever
everywhere yer car goes--and everywhere yer cell phone goes
thus everywhere you go
that can be determind
all guns are loaded--all phones are tapped--all electronics are monitored
and satellites are catching it all
outside--fine
smile...wave
lol
but turning on cameras and mics in yer house
i gotta draw the line
:{/
too creepy

Well, maybe it's about time for some of those supposed checks and balances to kick in.
A federal judge in Washington ruled on Monday that the bulk collection of Americans’ telephone records by the National Security Agency is likely to violate the US constitution, in the most significant legal setback for the agency since the publication of the first surveillance disclosures by the whistleblower Edward Snowden.

and this, i hear, was ultimately due to snowden
so maybe the l'l shniv did some good
but how much damage did he do?

if the chinese and the russians don't want him
then that means they already got what he has
that they would want

he wants to go to brazil
(who can blame him?)
but they don't know if they want him

all the nazis went there
lol

but, seriously, he would be a headache
and what do THEY get out of the deal?

"oh, gee!--we get to reveal that the US gov is pulling some shit
what a coup.
and when he gets bored in a few years
maybe he reveals some brazilian secrets--great"

I don't think that Putin was interested in giving amnesty to Snowden. He once said that the situation was like sheering a pig. A whole bunch of squeeling, but very little wool. A bit of KGB humor eh.

If Obama is all about change , then he should give Snowden a pardon and let him go home, or at the very least promise him a fair and open trial.

When you watch the 13 minute interview that Snowden gave at the beginning of all this, he said that he just wanted congress and the people to know what was going on so that the laws can be clear on what's constitutional , and what isn't.

exactly

russia and china and whoever already have any wool they're liable to end up getting from the affair

so, i guess snowden lives in an airport the rest of his life?

lol
