scott,

Please ba advised that I have re-activated my book mark and notification buttons.

This is in hopes that the kickback problem is solved by now.

If you do get any returns let me know asp as my ISP server is interested in working with me on this problem.

Got this notice from My IP service.
Edited for brevity.

Yesterday a new version of the W32.Sobr virus was released. Many of our customers were infected by this new virus. We have taken steps to block the virus from our mail servers. You may want to visit the following link if you are unsure how to identify the email containing the W32.Sobr virus.

http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/ ... .o@mm.html

If you suspect that you were infected by this virus, several anti-virus companies have released a fix, but we have found that Symantec's and McAfee's removal tools work very well.

Dear Scott,

my attempts to send you an email and PM gave this error

I have not contacted you in 4-6 months but it did work at that time.

Any thoughts?

Received the following error on email and pm attempts?

Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 535 5.7.0 authentication failed

Sincerely,

Hi Judd,
Thanks for alerting me to the problem. My ISP is having some trouble with one of their mail servers. I have redirected all mail from this site to a different mail server machine which seems to have fixed the problem.
Thanks,
Scott

Scott, did you actually add "Troll" to the rep list? (Several members, including me, have higher reps then the last time I noticed).

I'm almost sure that's not right. I noticed you, Scott, John C., and I have all increased at the same time to this new level. Maybe someone lagged in deciding on us, and then in one swoop gave us each one more + (though that would mean that we'd all have to be at exactly the same rep level). It just seemed, given Scott's comment, that it is more likely that he changed something.
EDIT PS. I just noticed the "User Attachment Control Panel" on my profile page; if I delete something from the list it links to, will it disappear from the board entirely?

Yeah, some members have been elevated to "most respected". Yet I'm still stuck on "appreciated" (for which I'm grateful, cus' it could be worse).

I guess I must of ruffled a few feathers in the past, but I'm not here to cosy up to people. I'm here to tell it like it is!

Coylo,

I do not know what that little green button icon is for but I just clicked on yours to find out, now there is a red X, by your rep. Boy that does not look good. :-) LOL

Good luck,

Ralph

No, it was just an idea. Not sure where it would go in the hierarchy.
Jonathan wrote:(Several members, including me, have higher reps then the last time I noticed).
The reputations of all members are inter-connected, so there are many possible reasons for them to change at any time. E.g. ratings by members with higher reps count more than ratings by members with lower reps.
Thanks,
Scott

I think so. You also can't edit your post after 24 hours though, so I'm not sure. The purpose of the "User Attachment Control Panel" is to allow members to clean up their attachments if they start approaching the maximum upload limit (no one is anywhere near the limit on this board though.)

It's to give Coylo a positive reputation rating.

The little red X is for you to revoke the positive reputation you just gave Coylo if you want.

P.S. If you don't know what something on the site does, just hover your mouse over it. Usually I've provided a helpful tooltip for you. :-)

Bill,

Yes , isn't technology great, you can give or take a persons reputation with the press of a button. I have seen times when I wish I could do this in the real world. Unfortunetly the only place it can happen is in a voting booth.

Scott,

Sorry to have misslead you into posting about the rep buttons, I knew what they were for and was giving Coylo a bad time. I did not think you would pickup on the idea that I did not know. Shows you are alert and keeping up with the postings. Good job!

Now if I can just learn to find my way around over-unitys new site I will be very educated.
