The norm for most maybe. But I found adding a lot of extra stuff tends to cause more problems. Redesign is in order.

Hi Murilo,

Actually I'm not enthusiast about this type of machine because I'm sure they can't work, sorry! What impress me in RAR Energia is how or why a successful businessmen is spending such huge money in an impossible project. I'm also very curious about how it will end.

Best regards

Do you believe that Bessler's wheel worked?

Are you talking about Microsoft?...;-D

I confess I don't know very much about the Bessler's wheel but seems to me a classical perpetual motion machine. In this case I don't believe.

poa_engineer,

I, too, welcome you to the forum. It's good to see another EE. I have a degree in electrical engineering myself but haven't worked as one for quite some time, unfortunately. I do miss it.

Anyway, thanks for the info. You know, I've seen in other forums that there are some people who actually believe the pictures of the RAR machines on the RAR Energia website are just computer generated fakes. ...lol Think they might appreciate seeing your pictures, too? ;)

It is all quite curios, isn't it? ...to make such claims and to spend so much money on something that's believed to be impossible. I'm highly skeptical of this particular claim. I think it's likely just a very wealthy man with a bit too much faith in some untested ideas of his own. It will be interesting to see how it ends - or when it will end. Having followed similar claims in the past, I've seen that there won't necessarily be an ending anytime soon.

I think I found a patent application for another variation we haven't seen yet. This one was published in March of this year.

Oh, and I noticed that this version supposedly only puts out 15 kw as opposed to the alleged 30 kw of earlier versions.

Here are some of the drawings.

I believe this link will show all the published variations so far:

:-) Yes, my pictures can prove the machine is real!

That is exactly my opinion too. Some people say that there is something behind, bad faith, like an attempt to get money from public agencies (like the Brazilian FINEP) of private investors. But I think is simpler, like you said.

I also agree this maybe will have no ending anytime soon. Maybe they will spend the rest of theirs lives making "adjustments" to the machine to make it works. Let's see...

Well we now have a new version of the "trial and error build of a massive size". With that much money to through around, they could save some time and just contact me. ;-)

Thanks for the update.

So, why didn't they just upscale the smaller 'working' prototype before making 'adjustments & refinements' to the larger one ?

Supreme confidence or someone told some porkies about the prototype ?

Still, look on the bright side, chaps.

If RAR is FUBAR then we still have the chance to be first with the answer. 8-)

Having looked at the above diagram from the patent it seems to me that far from floundering around the designers have made a significant improvement, a significant simplification.

The fact that they now have a generator attached to their design is a big step forward. Only one weight is shown which accounts for the reduction in power.

Also, a lot of the steelwork seems to have been eliminated.

Frankly, I am more confident that RAR have indeed succeeded than I was before, particularly since I have devised a simple Gravity Pulse Motor myself. :-)

[I know that sounds like Trevor ;-) ]

You should read John's book. Perhaps you might change your mind.
Anyway, since you are obviously an unbeliever it was very generous of you to keep us faithful informed of the latest developments.

Thank you very much. I look forward to further bulletins from the front. :-)

I believe the intention is for the path of this weight to be circular or elliptic.
It is easier to see this in the earlier iterations. It is a little more difficult in this illustration.
