I don't care whether Jim stays or goes, what I do care about is how he behaves on this forum if he does stay. If he can't be civil to others or behave rationally then I don't think others here should have to tolerate him.
As I see it, we all have access to the "Reputation registrar", use it or loose it.
I find it interesting that this forum has logged 832 visits today and only 11 have voted. What kind of participation does that account for?
Ralph, only forum members can vote. There have been only about 36 member visits since the poll was posted. So 13 ÷ 36 = about 36% of member visits have voted.
So much for humility, honesty, contrition and penance, I guess.

jim_mich, you whining about being bashed certainly doesn't change the truth nor does it make your mistaken math correct. So, what you are now doing here is just plain pathetic, to be honest. Have you considered seeking professional help?
You know, I had told a friend of mine when I took my little absence from the forum before that there was a fellow here who was such an out of control control freak that once he had decided I didn't belong here, when I returned to show him the mistakes with his math, he'd probably "pop a gasket" or something.
So, I wasn't at all surprised when you disappeared and your avatar went all staticky.

As a reminder to others, jim_mich, has had my red dot for a very long time due to his truly out-of-control behavior.
...and my current belief is that he's presently little more than a troll and attention whore who really isn't concerned about the truth at all.
My math and understanding of physics as shown in this forum pretty much speaks for itself now, and jim_mich's need to pretend he's being "bashed" to avoid the scrutiny of his own certainly speaks a certain truth, too.
So, I may not even bother going back to the thread in which he was defending his math errors. All the relevant information as to what he did wrong is already there, anyway. All I'd now get from him would be just more of this truly retarded nonsense.

jim_mich has been totally out of control for a very long time now, and so I'm not at all ashamed about what I said above or about having red dotted him.
Feel free to check my posting history, I try to be as helpful and polite as I can be. ...but sometimes you have to just tell it like it is.
In the spirit of my last post, let me try to be helpful here.
There is a bullying tactic in which the bully throws a sucker punch at some truly innocent person when others aren't looking and then when there is a very legitimate response to that totally unwarranted punch it is only then that others see and start to take notice themselves, which of course is when the bully begins pretending that he is actually the victim.
The sneaky little bully is then able to turn the ignorant crowd against the true victim.
This forum, of course, has a resident bully who, unfortunately, has been a master of this technique.
That bully, of course, is our wonderful jim_mich and he uses the technique to try to escape true scrutiny of his often mistaken notions.
The problem for him now, though, is that he has sucker punched too many of us and so his little victim act is no longer working. ...accept for maybe with a few of those who still just aren't quite clued in to what has truly been happening here and the actual history.
johannesbender, quite a few of us now have been sucker punched by jim_mich and so our responses are actually quite justified and you just do not know the whole story.
So, what are we going to do with our bully? I told people quite some time ago that he needed to be reined in somehow before he got too out of control. That didn't happen, though.
So at this point we might have to just put him down (so to speak) and maybe for the sake of the whole forum, for he just does not know when to stop. I'm not an advocate for banning anyone, so I'm not quite sure just what that would entail, but anyway...
I've spoken the truth and I've red dotted him. That's pretty much all I can do.
Others now must decide what they need to do.
In a professional environment, I would get thanked for pointing out an error to another professional. In this environment, of course, jim_mich would call me a liar and a fool. ...with those being his sucker punches, I guess.
I show any sort of irritation at that, and then all of a sudden he's brought in outsiders to pile on to me! ...as he's being supposedly "bashed"! ...lol
...and as he continues to cling to his fantasy that his screwed up math isn't mistaken and that he has some sort of special knowledge, I guess.
You all may have to decide where this all goes, because I just don't see jim_mich changing his behavior on his own. This has worked for him for too long.

P.S. If you people would actually take the time to learn your basic physics and math, none of you could possibly believe jim_mich over me if you had been following the thread where he accused me of bashing him.

Jim L. also gave me a lot of flak. And when I suggested red-doting one of his reincarnations, a couple of my adversaries made a real sting about it. They did not know the back-story behind Jim L.
