When it comes to 'TRUTH', I personally believe there is no one on earth that knows the ABSOLUTE truth.

Truth belongs to belief and belief is personal.

Your truth and my truth depend on our separate knowledge and may differ from what we have learnt and from which source.

I, of course, in my rather detailed post was speaking of specific truths that you could now be seeking out and verifying for yourself and so of true knowledge that you could now actually be GAINING.

As someone with, as you should have read, an engineering background and so who has a history of not only getting machines designed but actually working as desired, I'll say you need to truly make more of an effort, bud, in seeking out the truths of reality.

When it comes to reality and working with it, your everyone has their own personal truth stuff won't get you any farther than jim_mich's mistaken math will get him. In regards to what he "believes" about his math, his "truth" is nothing more than delusion.

So, good luck with your la la let's all agree to disagree stuff. Some of us have to be a bit more concerned with reality.

That's a bit unfair Ralph, for you had the same problem and I took the heat off of you with that Jim. Some people will not allow you to ignore them. And if you don't defend yourself. There word becomes accepted in time as truth. Politics 101

You're not implying that I've actually been attacking jim_mich, are you? ...rather than being the victim of his diversionary tactics to not have to come clean and acknowledge his mistaken math?

I'd like to let you know now, then, that I graduated 4th in my high school class of 207. In high school I also won a county wide geometry contest held at a local college beating the supposed best geometry students from about five local area high schools. I scored 33's in both the math and science sections of my ACT college admissions test ranking me in the 99th percentile in both those categories. ...and though I only graduated with honors from college (because I was a slacker), I scored in the top 2 percent (98th percentile) overall of graduating college seniors on a competency exam we were required to take before graduation.

So, when I tell you and others who quite apparently don't do math that jim_mich's math is indeed mistaken, it would probably be a rather safe bet that it actually is. ...though, of course, you and they might actually want to try to learn some math for yourselves so you wouldn't have to take my word for it or jim_mich's word for it.

...and then you could even help me convince jim_mich that his math still needs correcting and help him to understand where he went wrong.

I despise lying and corrupt politicians, don't you? ...especially when they start the mud slinging.

Well, the mud has been flying my way for quite some time now.

Surely you haven't accepted jim's word as truth? ...that means you yourself would have fallen for (corrupt) politics 101 - which I can see jim_mich already understands very very well.

I quite likely wouldn't make it as a politician myself, though. I tend to be way too honest.

No implications implying that you have actually been attacking jim_mich, He was not involved.

Suggest that if there is still time, you edit and remove the ms-understood post!

As for believing everything Jim_Mich post. I take it as his opinion as well as what is mostly said on this forum. Even things I say should only be taken as my opinion until absolute proof. It is the nature of the game.

Hi Jim,

In any group discussion toward the advancements of a common (and most probably, unobtainable objective) frustration, hence tempers flaring, is a logical by-product.

Whenever a really new or intriguing idea is being discussed here, there doesn't seem to be this mud-slinging madness. It's usually when we're idle with nothing really worthy on the table that this forum slips into the dark side.

I personally use to have a high regard for you Jim because you were never too lazy to track down a thread or reference and like Ralph or Fletcher you were always quick to help a newbie out with the basics by steering them in the right direction. This made your contributions valuable.

I am generally a busy person and often there is too much for me to digest here when I have the time to visit. When I do find the time, I usually just skim through all the new material looking for truly new and innovated ideas and so don't get too effected by the trash talk.

I vote you stay, civil and instructive.
