Tired of Jim_Mich ??

I think it's best to disagree to disagree. That way we will find the alpha dog in the group. I think Jim_Mich is an alpha dog and every time someone runs away and won't debate that they are like running away with their tails between their legs. Sorry, I could be wrong, I don't read the forum as much as I would like but it seems like Jim_Mich uses good logic and that just because some people leave the debates aggravated without accepting confutation, doesn't mean a good conversation wasn't ready to be delivered. Personally I am terrible with conversation but I enjoy reading what you smarter contributors have to say.

Jim's not much of an alpha dog. He acts more like Yosemite Sam. He's also ran away and hid (under rocks) from many debates... though he calls it "ducking from bullets". You know, those little things that don't agree with his own world view.

Ed, I think that's quite an exaggeration you, you long eared galoot. In this forum setting the alpha dog wouldn't present itself from mudslinging but by displaying intelligence. An alpha dog isn't a bully but an alpha dog won't be mounted by bullies. That feels like a graphic statement but I will go with it. I think that other guy is an alpha dog too. Oh man, what's his name, I can't remember? He lives in Fiji or something. Man, I just can't remember his name. Anyway, he is a smart fellow and displays alpha dog traits too. So Ed, settle down you vermin because I'm the rootinin tootinest idea slinger on the east side of the country. Like I totally recently drew a peacocks tail device. Pride consumes me. A glow of brilliance emanates from my sweaty body. I couldn't possibly think I'm any smarter. But I could really use some air conditioning.

Having come back to this forum after a break, I have to say that this is the strangest topic matter ever to have been posted.

First and foremost , and I mean no offense Jim, but to create a topic to determine you like ability , strikes me as one of the most self- serving things a person can do.

It is not the act of an oppressed and victimized individual, rather someone who is trying to re-instate the level of adulation he once felt he received.

For the record I voted that I didn't care either way, and why should I 'care' . It's ridiculous.

Life is far too short for it to be taken seriously. If someone drops a fishing line into the pond, cut the hook off ( don't bite it )

Chris, this topic is not and never was about determining my "like ability". It is totally about a very few forum members that have been harassing me every time I posted. It is simply my attempt to make this harassment stop. That's all it is.

Last November, I posted a list of links to all of cloud camper's posts during October 2013. This guy never made any posts during October that did not include derogatory or insulting comments directed at me. Some are only mild insults. But some get downright aggressive and are filled with lies.

Now, after taking a couple months break, I come back and within less than 24 hours cloud camper attacked me again...

Jim has now had 10 years to support his ideas but has yet to produce a single plausible scientific argument to support his assertions.

It’s fantastic that Jim finally scraped $87 together for some plastic bits to build his wheel after years of inaction but all his claimed runners going back to 2005 do not give him credibility as a builder.

And it’s great that Jim as a retired engineering draftsman has strong opinions about the wheel but unfortunately has not demonstrated the education or knowledge of physics that would cause anyone to put credibility in his ideas. In any situation requiring physics knowledge, Jim runs for his Machinists Handbook rather than a physics book as he knows nothing of physics and has no apparent interest in learning.

In his long break from the forum, one would think that would have been plenty of time for Jim to crack a physics book and in a matter of days would learn that CF is a conservative force like gravity, that CF does not cause tornadoes and sliding cellphones on dashboards do not create “useful energy� and would be apologizing profusely to the forum for his years of willful ignorance.

Everyone on the forum is now sick and tired of hearing Jim’s trite old harangues replayed daily. We need new ideas not the same old ideas repeated ad nauseum. It’s time for the forum to move on.

Jim’s wheel has failed miserably but now we’re supposed to believe it’s just a matter of friction stopping his wheel. Get real.

If Jim is unhappy that no one gives him credibility, produce a working wheel and patent it. That will get attention.

Continual and daily pleading for attention is a loser. And a sore loser at that.

And cloud camper has stated that he will continue these personal attacks anytime I post anything. Note that he said, Everyone on the forum is now sick and tired of hearing Jim’s trite old harangues replayed daily. even though I'd been back less than one day.

This whole thing started back when Jim Lindgaard reincarnated for the umpteenth time, and I encouraged people to red-dot Jim Lindgaard's sock puppet. It seems that cloud camper had taken a shine to Jim Lindgaard, and thus was offended by my actions. From that time on...

All I want is for members to stop the personal insults. This forum should be about Bessler and his wheel.

I certainly agree with your closing paragraph.

What you have to accept is that, in general terms, if a person moves onto personal attacks it is said from a position of weakness. As such it should be pitied.

From my point of view we have our own pet theories as to how a wheel would work, different level of understanding, knowledge and applicsble expertise, and it is a fool that dismisses some one outright.

IMO it takes people like you who think tangentially from the norm - pun intended - that will push the boundaries of understanding . It matters not one bit that there are failures along the way. That should not be derided by others . Moreover, expense is not proportionate to expertise. As I spend nothing on builds, and if expertise is inversely proportional , I am a frigging genius. !

This forum should have healthy debate only and although we all have different personalities and tolerance thresholds , common courtesy needs to be maintained. The trouble now is that technology has allowed for comment without consequence , which has removed that check valve between people's' heads and tounge. That is a shame.

Finally, an insult only becomes an insult if there is validation of it through response from an audience member . Without that reply, an insult will just bounce around an empty auditorium, where it will finally be absorbed into the beer soaked , dirt covered carpet.

Jim, that number is at least five, maybe even six, but certainly not three. People told you they changed their vote after your behavior kept degrading, after you started this thread.

Your initial posts, after your break, contained (especially by your measure) multiple insults to another forum member. You want it all to stop, but you insult in your own way and feel no remorse for any of it?

At the end of the day it should matter not to what degree someone defends themselves when confronted with physical laws that seem to counter their argument.

We have to remember the particular field in which we are kicking this ball about in, so how, TBH, can we use standard measures to validate or refute someone's proposal.

I, for one, do not pretend to know any Physical Laws or equations, and, TBH, I'm borderline certifiable !! That said, we are all on an equal playing field, and until someone comes up with a runner, the difference between all of us is minimal.
