Your design is a new one for me and I find it thought provoking. How ever I fear that it will find equilibrium at .07 seconds of run time.
Its that damn "width for height" syndrome again! Your attempting to pick up more mass than is leveraged to pull down. I also believe that there is not enough mass in your blue levers to hold the red drivers out in their shown position.

8 arms with weights on them are the same for all intensive purposes. Hanging weights from cables are common in my designs as you well know from designs I have sent you before. Working together is a common theme just check out helloha string. It is a nice version without a doubt, but it has the same layout of negative effects as the one I posted and that is the main similarity which will stop it from running.

The design you are showing shows you have a good head on your shoulders and posting the link to mine is in hopes to learn and progress in your future designs. The trick is to keep the weight up above the 3:00 to 9:00 as much as possible and to the descending side of the 12:00 to 6:00 (clock references)

Thanks to everyone for the appreciation. In the simulation, the weights of the levers blue and red cylinders are the same. The blue levers are locked from the strings but you could get the same result with the blocks fixed to the structure. I have an idea for a particular type of lock that would allow bi-directional. I'm trying to follow the evidence. For example Bessler says that the springs are used in the mechanism.
I would like to replace the strings of the cylinders with the springs. In this way the cylinder could be launched towards the circumference so as to strike (knocks on the board....).
At the same time the charge of the spring would fall before the lever.
My simulation is just a sketch to stimulate a search direction
based on adherence to the evidence and the writings of Bessler.

Hi carloluna,
I noticed that as soon as your simulation started, there was a lot of spring energy released that had nothing to do with the influence from the wheel’s motion. I’m not sure what your settings on the springs were or if all that initial spring motion was intentional. This is only an assumption. If you want to simulate this wheel design with only gravity starting the wheel rotation, and the springs and weights starting in their natural resting positions, then do this. Anchor your main wheel and start the simulation. The wheel will not rotate but you’ll probably have plenty of motion from the weights because of too much or too little tension on the springs. You need to make sure that the air resistance is set to high, so that eventually the springs and weights stop in their natural resting positions. When there is no longer any movement, go to the wm2d “world� menu and select “start here�. At this point you can remove the anchor from the wheel. Now you can start the simulation and see what’s really happening without all the influences from any spring and weight preload forces. There may be a better way to do this, but this seems to work for me.
