re: Mayday! Mayday!!!
Raj,
At the end of the day, my success rate, like yours is a big fat ZERO.
Nevertheless, with failure comes experience. Experience has shown that your design path will not yield any results. They are all height for width, no matter the elaboration.
Furthermore, the oval compartments shown in your latest proposal is not new. There are literally hundreds of variants of ball race designs. Each tries to tweak out the flaws of other published concepts, but no matter the route taken, the balls wont reset. That is impossible. PM from OB in this manner is impossible.
You say that you don't look at weight distribution rather overall torque, and you say that this latest design produces positive torque at every stage.
I'm generally interested in how you come to that conclusion.
Finally belief doesn't make something so.
Chris

Chris!
I dare you show me a prior art of my channel/compartment shape - drawing below.
I, sincerely, think that this oval shape is my novelty. It is by sheer imagination that I came to draw it, while trying to find a completely Asymmetric channel/compartment to go in my wheel.
You can see how I drew this shape:
1. Using a centre (in red), I used a 6 cms horizontal radius to draw a 45 degrees arc.
2. From a point (in blue) 4 cms from the centre (in red) on the horizontal radius, I used a 4 cms radius to draw a 90 degrees arc.
3. From a point (in green) 3 cms from the centre (in red) on the same horizontal radius, I used a 3 cms radius to draw a semi-circle.
This asymmetric shape of my channels/compartment make it possible for the cylindrical weights to continuously roll/move inside the channels/compartments while changing their orbit from one side of the wheel to the other, as the wheel rotates.
So, once again, I DARE you show me a prior art of my asymmetric oval shape, AMONGST your ball race designs.

Chris,
It was by trial and error of designing assymmetric channels/compartments that I found my novelty shape.
Below is a picture showing my attempts at finding the right shape.

The oval you drew at those precise radius curves maybe new, but the concept of curved ball races is not.
As I said people have literally wasted years fine tuning these curves. Just a little bit more here and there then surely reset can be achieved.
I tell you this. It never will mate. Never ever. This is not a slight on you rather just a hard fact I'm repeating. And don't be offended as I have produced some utter shite in hind sight . Once time passes you'll see that as well. It is the natural learning process.
When others may prefer the more subtle approach I will judge others designs as I'd expect mine to be judged.
It is the proposer responsibility to prove, not for peers to disprove.

Dear Chris,
What I wholeheartedly disagree with is scientifically/experimentally found knowledge as categorically God-given finite truth.
As far as I am concern, knowlwdge is what we know today, and not what we'll find tomorrow.
''Search and you'll find!''
3,4,5 is a proven unique way of drawing a triangle.
MAYBE ( my?) 3,4,6 is a unique way to draw this oval, just like there is a unique way to draw an ellipse.
Raj
PS. Thank you for saying the oval I have drawn may be new. I am, now, hoping that this new oval curve may be of some use.

... but you'll find it yesterday!
As would say our Trevor, the Good, with all respect, P L E A S E , compare this present design with ALL the others you have sent!
This wheel will KEEL and behave as all your previous wheels!!!
TC!
With all respect, indeed!

Any intelligent comparison with 'avalanchedrive' will show that all PM turning wheels are only baby's toys!
re: Mayday! Mayday!!!
Raj. You know the way to calculate the torque. I think you should be capable by now to spend the time to actually calculate its torque through rotation to see what will happen.
Murillo. Perhaps you should take your own advice on your own design?

Dear Tarsier79,
This is what I am actually doing.
Checking the net unidirectional continuous torque.
Most likely, my test will fail, as MOST of you are 100+++% categorique that gravity torque driven wheel will never work.
I hope nobody resent my wasting my time in trying. I feel no harm in trying.

I didn't see your post at the end of the last page showing your design through rotation.
your pic here shows counter torque: http://www.besslerwheel.com/forum/download.php?id=14528

re: Mayday! Mayday!!!
After a long break from this MAYDAY thread, I am coming with some changes to my original design posted (page 1) in here on 24 Jannuary 2012, which at some time, friends like Ralph, A.B Hammer and specially Path_finder had some interesting contribution on this concept.
Just as a reminder and for the reference to newcomers, I am showing here, my original drawing and Path_Finder's gif drawing.
New drawings, detail descriptions of changes to the concept forthcoming!

re: Mayday! Mayday!!!
The original concept looked promising, but could not be taken further, because of one major obstacle: The Speed Doubler Mechanism.
We tried several speed doubling methods, but none were practicable.
A good forum friend, Path_Finder has spent countless time and effort in designing and building a suitable speed doubler mechanism, and I APPLAUD his help.
Finally, failure to find a workable speed doubler mechanism, has forced the shelving of the original concept.
