Furcurequs,without giving the usual long winded tirade of what YOU perceive to be Jim Mich's faults....... please explain your difficulty of WHY it is beyond your capability to press the ignore button?....

I'll try to be brief about this, then.

"Ignore" is the root word of both "ignorant" and "ignorance," so I would personally not choose to intentionally ignore anyone or anything because of where it is that could lead.

Because, then, I try to personally not be ignorant, I have now seen that jim_mich has not only promoted mistaken math and mistaken understandings of basic physics principles (and physics principles that someone who, of course, is NOT IGNORANT can see are in fact backed up by plenty of experimental evidence), but he has also now stooped so low as to have actually lied about others in this forum to try to defend his mistakes and to discredit those who actually knew how to do the things he truly got wrong.

...and where I see a mistake and/or a lie, I will also try to choose to address it or them.

So, rasselasss, I hope that answers your question and explains my position.

Now I have a question for you. Have you intentionally chosen to ignore jim_mich's truly mistaken math and the lies he has now spouted to try to deflect attention from those mistakes?

If you have chosen to be willfully ignorant and/or to defend jim_mich's mistakes and lies, then so be it, but my position would be to not ignore that, even, and to call you out too.

You understand now? I try to emulate the behavior of truth seekers and truth speakers. ...not ignorant liars.

Now, if by chance you just happened to have overlooked jim_mich's mistakes and lies, you just let me know, why don't you? ...and I will try to point them out to you.

P.S. Maybe jim_mich actually believes the falsehoods he has told. Since they are not based upon any real evidence, and would apparently be a product of his imagination, he could be deluded.

Ed,you gave an excellent reason for Scott to remove the "ignore"facility as it can be seen here none make use of it,but i don't understand your comment about me not being long enough here to take "sides" (i did'nt realize there were any)....ie. what period of time should pass until a member is permitted to express an opinion on something he thinks unfair....i was a member before Dwayne,...funny enough you did'nt rebuke him?

I don't appreciate being lied to nor being lied about, and as someone who cares about the truth and who tries to get my facts straight, I don't appreciate ignorant people spreading misinformation nor especially dishonest people promoting disinformation, either. ...and jim_mich has truly done all of that.

This is not a matter of opinion. This is actually now a matter of fact for which there is plenty of evidence in this forum - and which, as I've said, I could point you directly to if you actually gave a damn about the truth yourself.

Like I've said before, I've addressed the things that he claimed were basic physics - and that he got wrong - and then lied about. I honestly don't care about his speculative opinions, for I've now seen that he is not at all grounded when it comes to his understanding of basic math and physics.

Maybe it's now time, then, to ask you what kind of engineer you were. I seem to remember seeing something about that in your profile.

Were you a choo choo train engineer? Were you a "domestic" homemaker type of "engineer?" Were you a "sanitation" - as in garbage collector - "engineer." I've heard all those terms used before. ...because if you had the kind of engineering training that I have had as a electrical design engineer with all the physics and the math involved, you couldn't possibly be defending the clueless garbage jim_mich has promoted in this forum and then lied about when he was shown that he was truly in the wrong.

Maybe you have the same sort of problem he has. You'd rather believe fantasies than have the guts to seek the truth.
