If RAR has a successful starting point idea/design and usually the whole is simpler than the sum of ITS parts , can we minimize it as a "pedalling gravity", not as a simple,brief outline but as an easy test , experiment ...also!?

Here is the real build while in process several years ago. The Green arms where welded equal to each other but the arms where mounted high and low. The pictures where the final fitting before welding parts in place. The overall outcome was a cool fast spinning do nothing for you had to spin it. LOL

I agree with your experiment.
In my opinion , for this design the main problems are : sensitiveness of torque unbalance and the threshold of friction.

Hi guys, Hi Iacob.
The last posts you have made remind me your drawings of 'pedaling gravity'. I see a potential in it.
The one below is corrected drawing which I posted some time ago. Of course flywheel is a must be here :)
It works as energy condenser taking it at some point and then giving back when it's needed. (oops, arrows...)
Exactly like capacitors in electronics..

The problem is : can a pedaling gravity manner sustain a continuous motion?!

All we need is to apply a simple concept (variable/oscillatory leverage ) , so to have a permanent unbalance (torque difference ) , on the same side of the pedal bar.

I see the main problem in these kind of devices is the 'scissor effect', which kills the wheels at certain points/periods.
There are many combination with shape of beam /can be fo.ex. semi-circle/ and place of fulcrum to improve system.

BTW.. Nice and instructive build by AB Hammer, thanks for posting. I guess I know what AB H. was going to do in the end of the story :)
I am pretty sure that RAR Energia generator bases on principle of "Pedaling Gravity".

Scissors are levers ( a pair of Class 1 levers , with a common fulcrum ) , which are considered a simple machine.
How do you put into work a lever , it's a particular case.
Anyway , the basic mechanics has as a starting concept regarding the ( simple ) machines ...the lever ( leverage ).
A tool is but the extension of man's hand ...
