2/10 for presentation. 1/10 for intent. 0/10 for balls.

Shortly I will show the 'sphere' rolling to highlight that, no matter the at rest position of that sphere, the sported mass within will remain effectively weightless.

Clearly, the globalised Gravity Equilibrator will remain undisclosed . This 6th IP is now patent-pending.

I hope that the illustration of functionality is of interest in any event. The invert ability of the countenance springs around the axle took some doing that's for sure :(

Unfortunately conservation laws negate possibility of globalized weightlessness.
It'll never work.
-1/10 for effort.

hey Dunes, have you ever taken a drive in a van or station wagon filled with helium balloons? It's loads of laughs because they do not react to laws of conservation as most see it.

Step on the gas and you are pushed back in your seat, but the balloons push forward. Step on the brakes and you are pushed forward, the balloons end up in the back!

This fluid displacement, air denser than helium. Balloons seek level in moving air, for you.

Dunberry,
Your intellectual prejudice only allows you to see what you want to see.

The 7th patent will upset you further I'm afraid.

Anyway , remain civil please for posterity.

Thanks

Chris, I am not sure why you posted this thread and videos.

We cannot see the relationship between the sphere and the mass. Also in sim, the mass sitting on one side did not cause sphere rotation, leading me to believe this may just be another RB based mechanism.

Tarsier,

You are correct to suppose that I have created just another geared RB type system that is revolute and able to carriage an inner mass (irrespective of that mass's position within the globe. I am minded to say though that I use the term Roberval Balance & Gear in a generic sense as I am conscious of the fact that others have taken this 200 year old IP as their own of late.)

Generally, and lately, I do not seek to design anything that attempts to create PM within a closed system because that is fruitless, pointless and head-bangingly stupid im my point of view.

By taking one step back, innovative and unique ideas are easier to devise, but what maybe great in my eyes may not be what turns others on. Such is life.

Finally, the purpose of this topic is to purely increase the search footprint of my 'hot dog stall' as others so eloquently put it. This approach may go against the 'caring and sharing' ethos of the forum, but, again it is what it is.

Bar that Tarsier, I hope all is well mate.

Well where ever the base of the globe is grounded to earth will feel the same weight. So your statement should read; no matter the at rest position of that sphere, the sported mass within will remain effectively balanced.

There is just a slight play on definition between what I stated and what you say , although you are not wrong with your amendment . It should be obvious that it is not the sphere that grounds the mech , as that is just dressing.

My other comment is this . It is a shame that a lot of theoretical talent on here is wasted on chasing the impossible . Just think of what could be achieved by concentrating on the possible .
