Figure a self powered motor where basically two magnets and gravity are involved. INEXPENSIVE AND EASY TO MAKE. A CHILD CAN PUT ONE TOGETHER. GREEN POWER MOTOR.
I am developing such a motor but have a few questions.
First being should I patent this as a toy as anything perpetual the patent office refuses to recognize?
Secondly how would one go about sharing this freely with the world without big money or big powers stepping in and making it or us go away also?
Yes I have a partner. NO I DONT HAVE A WORKING MODEL YET.

Patent it as a desk top toy and rotating purposes where required. But push it through as a desk top toy.
You cannot share it until you can prove you own it, something a lot in the anti Patent lobby do not seem to grasp.
Edit, you will never stop big business get hold of it, so take your 2.5 % off them, if its as good as you think it is. You could help millions of people with 2.5 percent of the energy market if you are that way inclined.

My opinion: You should forget about patenting, or anything to do with what you will do after you have a successful model. While you are working on it, either share unconditionally, or tell no one.
If you have unconditionally shared and you get it working, then everyone knows. If you haven't told anyone, then you have time to consider your options.
Whatever you do, don't jump the gun and claim success prematurely.
Good luck

Hi K.
That is all well and good but what if someone happens to be working on a similar design just after you, and they Patents it?
Then you have scenario where all your hard work has been lost and you could be taken to court for working on your own designs. Best to get some cover as soon as you think you have something.
Edit, is that the Philippine Tarsier?

People quite probably are working on the same design. They probably have for 300 years, and probably for a thousand years before that.
If you are going to get sued for working on your own design, then you are probably working on it in the wrong country. If you are thrown in jail for celebrating your discovery with a beer, then beware of the prison outfit that resembles a camel. If your entire family are killed by the government for your involvement working on it, you are probably in North Korea ;)
All I know, is it isn't an Australian Tarsier, as they are not native to the area, and I am unaware of breeding programs for them in any of the Australian zoos.
