That reminds me of all the excitement and hype over what was going to be Dean Kamen's revolutionary technology. ...and which turned out to be an electric scooter.

The Segway is sort of neat, I guess, but well...

Oh, and did you hear about the guy who bought the company accidentally killing himself by riding one off a cliff?

I just happened to remember that. I don't know if there are any lessons there for us or not.

I have had the thought "Wait! What if RAR actually does have a working model and so they've been under a gag order?!"
Do not claim to be knowledgeable in USPTO patent procedure so must ask:

If a native of Brazil applies for an international patent How can the US put a gag order on it ?

Yeah, that might be a bit difficult for the United States Patent and Trademark Office to do alone, so obviously I was thinking international conspiracy! ...lol

It is strange that RAR are still pursuing the patents if they don't have anything . But quite often this smoke and mirror stuff reflects strongly on the value of a company .

Elon Musk of Tesla seems to be pretty good at it .

Maybe they have got him in on the game ! In which case we might know in a months time (which is only a few days away 15 times ).

.
This may be what the Musk tweet was about. Tesla now has wall mount 7 to 10 kilowatt-hour lithium ion batteries for sale for homes.

incobrasa emplyee commented on Gravity-Powered Generator: Real or Fake?.

in response to d:

I found a diagram of how this works: http://sydwalker.info/blog/wp-content/u ... achine.gif

I am an employee at Incobras in gilman, and everything I’ve seen so far points to it never working. The most we have ever gotten this thing to turn on it’s own is 1/2 of a turn, it’s been completely together since last October. They keep “tweaking this machine trying to get it to work. The word on the street is they will keep working on it, and eventually say they need parts that no one can manufacture, and that the technology is not there yet to make these parts, and then put the project on “hold. It’s such a waste of time and effort. Complete dick of a company btw.

Interesting comment from Hackaday. Sounds plausible and would explain why there have been no updates to the RAR website. Assuming their claims that they have models which work (which I believe) then it appears they have attempted a bridge too far.

Anyway, it gives us a chance to beat them to the punch. I now understand rather more about Raymond Head's Milko and I can see a simple way to provide the necessary feedback to keep the pendulum running indefinitely, together with a power take off shaft for the surplus energy.

So that forum members have the opportunity to understand and possibly build before the great unwashed ;-) I shall be providing the full explanation on the Community Buzz Forum.

If lurkers want to get in on the ground floor they will just have to join up, won't they. 8-)

I checked the status of the RAR patent applications again today and all 5 are "Notice of Appeal Filed."

Not looking good. If they have a working model I don't see how it could be turned down - which probably means that they don't.

They probably built a single arm model, turning by hand and discovered for e for longer in one direction... Just a little more weight here and there, multiply the arms... It'll run...

Anyone paying attention to the Edward Skinner Gravity Motor comments on Energetic Forum Renewable Energy site? The last comments are most interesting. If this has been discussed before, I apologize as I did a quick search here and only found one topic that went nowhere.

Why? RARenergia is dead. It was never alive in the first place. The witness statement you've posted above perfectly supports the analysis i did umpteen pages back - it's a lever.
