It has been a long time since i have come up with a new wheel design.
I am working on one at the moment whereby all of the weight/s remain on one side of the wheel and the other side remains relatively empty and light.
I have searched for similar designs but to no avail.
I was wondering if people would be willing to share designs where all the weights remain on one side of the wheel.
My design uses pulleys, and i believe maybe configured in different ways.
I am still in the processs of ironing out some technical details.
It is a relatively simple design which i am surprised i have been unable to find anywhere despite exhaustive searches.
It operates on a different principle than other designs. I also remember somewhere Bessler saying he could not build a wheel smaller than a certain size and wonder what this is as there appears to be relatively the same amount of friction in a small model as a large one...eg belts chains on pulleys,cogs...

I have recently built something that sounds similar.I used chains and sprockets with a stationary center sprocket as the prime mover.All weights were held on the descending side of the wheel for the entire rotation,and I was sure I had it solved.Much to my surprise,it did not rotate either forward or backward.The entire rotation was a keel position.It was my old nemesis counter-torque again.It was as if I was a man poling a boat through a swamp.But instead of the pole moving me forward,the pole moved the swamp backward along with my boat.It was such an interesting arrangement,but no amount of tweaking could get any rotation to happen.Maybe your configuration of pulleys can make it work.Good luck to you.

I must say iwas inspired by the work of Raj's design.
my main issues are having cross belts with the pulleys so close.
once the pulleys are.moved further apart, everything needs to be rescaled, ea h weight needs to end back at its,startbpoint in one revolution.o
i beieve the pulleys and axle will need to be different and possibly contain. Slots or compartments to hold the weights.
note that the weights are attached to the belt or chain. There are four weights and a total of 8 pulleys around the exterior...the axle has also four tracks.ill show a side view later.

Very nice!
I am continuously making the same mistake.
The position of the weights in one thing.
How they act on the wheel is another.
I have come to realise, after so many forum members have pointed out, that only torque matters in an overbalance wheel.
