After reading your great post , I had good feeling that I am not alone!..
Few who spoke in behalf of the forum , did not represented truly majority of us , ( I am convinced of it.).
We just could not handle “little” criticism, that overall was not excessive ,and not in very bad taste!!!!????.........
And that is where I come to realization that only young person, with solid moral values from home and school would be able to write at spontaneous moment strong letter but not truly maliciously and keeping certainly good sport guide lines!. And you canÂ’t fake that!.
There is innocence all over, between lines!!!!..
And if he is only 14, or not is not relevant any more!!!!!...to me he still gentleman!
And we can not accuse someone of being layer before we can fully prove it
How we do know that he did not solved gravity wheel problem, even without working model!? Only way to find is to build one according his design.

I take pride in contemplating possible solutions to improve the situation mankind faces at this time, and I applaud anyone from 8 months old to 108 years old who takes an interest in that cause. I give equal attention to all ideas, regardless of the age or experience of the thinker. The most useful inventions in history were built by young, uneducated, common men. Some inventions were developed by groups of thinkers who shared a common goal, or stood to gain a common benefit from the sale of the invention. None of this would have been possible had these clever collaborators not also shared something else in common.... courtesy. The courtesy to accept ideas even if far fetched, the courtesy to offer ideas in a form that could be understood and built upon, the courtesy to take criticism with dignity and resolve, the courtesy to offer criticism with logic and reason, the courtesy to admit that you just don't know the answer (yet!), and the courtesy to reveal the entire vision in an eloquent manner at the appropriate time. Perhaps if we call it 'rare regard' it will regain it's fading popularity here on Earth. I, for one, miss it.

Come to think of it, if JB had wielded 'rare regard', he'd have been rich, Newton would follow Bessler's laws of motion, and we'd all be vacationing at the domes on Europa.

As it is, instead, only some have that privilege.


Besides, you really think "we'd all" make it to Europa?......Man, on the whole, pedantic peon that he is.....would likely have cracked the shell of his neighbor's egg in grand fashion. The shell of the earth following suit in short order.


I would posit that what is keeping it from happening even now, is becoming more than a little burdensome for.....some, as we speak.

It wasn't until the post quoted above that Blazer started to get a negative reaction from members. That's because his last post was a cross between wasting everyone's time and trolling for flames... an all too familiar pattern here on the board.

I totally agree with Bill's suggestion that the we'd be better off if we could somehow ameliorate the problem of false identities. I'm just not sure about the best way to do it. I don't want to be saddled with the burden of running a background check on every applicant, but I would like to do something. I'm open to suggestions at this point.

Running a background check? Sorry to be a critic but isn't that a little harsh for a topic board that's subject is meant to entertain? I am not saying fooling around here.
You could always charge for admission. That would keep riff raff out but I don't think too many people would like it.

Of course, that's why I defined it as the opposite and impossible extreme. Surely there is some middle ground there somewhere. But where?

Charging a small fee is an interesting idea. FWIW, I added a "Paypal Donate" button to the forum page footer a few months ago, but so far no takers.

I'm quite certain that a lot of members out there, especially the most valued and respected ones, would not mind paying a small subscription fee for access to the forum. But there's a principle involved here. The goal of this website has always been to provide a free community and free marketplace of ideas around the Bessler mystery. I would very much prefer that the site remain free. (But of course donations are always welcome! :-)

Another problem I see with the subscription idea is that for some fraudsters and hucksters out there, it might very well seem worthwhile to pay a small subscription fee in order to continue plying their unsavory wares on this website.

Other ideas?

If someone is genuinely interested in the benefits of membership here then they should have no problem supplying (and making available to other members) their legitimate website or ISP email address. Make it a signup requirement and ban hotmail and other similar free and anonymous email addresses. IMO, if someone refuses to openly stand behind their username on this forum then they don't deserve membership.

Yes Bill, but as we know......that too is a small step, really a token gesture. How about physical address verification....and a newsletter......


But seriously, as long as we've got Ovyyus running interference on the 'nere-do-wells'.....I don't see why the site shouldn't plug along on it's well worn and merry way.


Personally, I don't see why driver's licence or passport photos couldn't be required as avatars for each member......or even contributing visitors!


I mean, it's common knowledge that inventors and free energy researchers are the most open and cordial bunch you'd ever want to meet!


Of course, some may prefer to flap and flutter all over the 'duck pond' and bluster about the 'loon' factor as some sort of pre-emptive or compensatory measure.


Small ponds have a way of stagnating over time.....give the site a facelift, maybe it should grow into a thriving, self supporting lake.


And who knows, maybe a couple 'Signets' or 'trumpeters' may settle in for a landing and test the waters....


Instead of the occasional 'flyover'.....and fleeting circle or two...only to dodge the birdshot hastily fired from a closed mind......whose penchant for belittling others core beliefs, style of speech, or just plain lack of ability or inclination to match acrimonies....



helps maintain a distinct and largely self imposed status quo.

I saw that and it has occurred to me to donate something, when I get an income. :D That no one else has makes me feel better that I haven't though.
