I like your mechanism !!
Only the weights seem to concentrate a bit towards the ascending side?

This is my final drawings as theoritical proof of concept of my Stable/Unstable Equilibrium Wheel.

The top drawing shows the wheel with 16 weights swinging on four swastika-formed levers, in keel position.

The second drawing shows the wheel having turned 22.5 degrees counter-clockwise, and here, again, the wheel is in keel position.

You will notice from these two drawings:
1. that the wheel could move any direction and stiil stay balanced.
2. the slightest move in any direction will make the top weight on the ascending side swing towards the centre and its connected (paired) weight will move from the centre and knock the rim of the wheel at the 3 or 9 o'clock position, providing impact/impulse to add to momentum.

This wheel looks more like an impact/iimpulse driven MOTION wheel than a Gravity Wheel.

A physical proof would be more welcoming.

After completing my crude concept testing wheel (see picture)l, I am convinced that it WON'T WORK as an impact/impulse motion wheel.

I am now going to search for some element of overbalance to this swastika symbol inspired concept, as SLEEPY has suggested earlier.

May not work? but a nice build test, never the less. A worthy photo to save.

Thank you Alan!

It did not take me long to find a way to make my swastika wheel in continuous overbalance state.

All I have to do is gear my swastika wheel inside a larger drumwheel in a 1:1 ratio, so that both wheels rotate at the same speed and just connect the levered weights(3) by cords(7) to diametrically opposite points on rim of larger wheel(4).

There we have it: Continuous overbalance state of swastika wheel, torque driven, as weights are pulled up, by cords(7) nearer to axles on ascending side and further away from axles on descending side of wheels.

Hello Everybody!

What do you think of the changes I have brought to my current Swastiks Gravity Wheel design???

Everything are the same as in my last drawings.
EXcept:
1, the roller-bearings/weights(3) swing/move/stay OUTSIDE the
drum wheel(1).
2. Roller-bearings/weights(3) change positions as they roll on HORIZONTAL flooring(5), being pulled counter-clockwise nearer to axle and get caught on hook(4), at the 6 o'clock position, and the paired weight(3) is pushed upwards further away from axle, by special swastika levers, at the 12 o'clock poition, maintaining net positive clockwise torque.

Any comments???

Greetings Raj

I have build a similar wheel with great dismay. The center of gravity of the wheel effect shifts slightly to the descending side as soon as the weight hits the ground or ramp. mine was for the ground.

I am currently, daily, non-stop brainstorming over my swastika gavity wheel.

Here's my latest drawing:

1 is a drum wheel with four separate vertical compartments.

2 are diametrically broken spokes at 45 degrees intervals.

3 are qudrant-form levers, swinging on 2.

4 are rigid pivoting/connecting bars between two diametrically opposite quadrant-form levers at their 90 degrees elbows.

5 are weights on other ends of elbowed quadrant-form levers.

Four quadrant-form elbowed levers form a swastika in apparent motion by weights.

Motion of wheel is expected from overbalancing of wheel.

The last drawing shows how I had conceived the motions of the weights swinging on quadrant elbowed levers in swastika formation, through 360 degrees rotation.

Today, I carried out some proof of concept tests, of my wheel, made to drawing scaled dimensions, rotating manually at 45 degrees intervals, through 360 degrees, starting from the 12 o'clock position of wheel.

See test pictures:

First picture (at 12 o'clock position of wheel) is reflected in drawing 1

Second picture (afterl 45 degrees manual rotation of wheel clockwise) is reflected in drawong 2.

Third picture (after 90 degrees manual rotation of wheel) is reflected in drawing 3.

Fourth picture ( after 135 degrees manual rotation of wheel) is reflected in drawing 4.

180 degrees rotation will return to reset position (back to drawing 1).

All this presentations are for all those forum members who can find anything worthwhile in my Swastika Gravity Wheel concept..

Everything about this current Swastika Gravity Wheel concept, drawings and pictures are so self-evident, that really, I can't see forum members having anything to add.

Hi all ,

On page 56 I gave a drawing of pully and pop rivet bearing , managed to shrink the Photo to legal rules , so here it is , the pully was made to be clamped between 2 nuts on all-thread so it would turn into a driver , the pop rivet bearing has one on each side of the propellor , it was not meant to drive anything , just a free running bearing to calculate prop design .
