[board] Login question

Post by ME »

I have problems logging in.

So everytime I request a new one.
When I change the password in my profile, it doesn't remember it the next time. When I don't change my password and keep the given one, it tells me it has expired.

What am I doing wrong?

Hmm, I'm not sure. Do you have cookies enabled in your browser?

Maybe an (over)active firewall.

For clarity: I didn't mean the "remember me"-checkbox; but it did seem to recognize my password at all.

* Using my own password, brought up the loginscreen again and again.
* Using another, it gave a message of wrong ID (didn't copy/paste it)
* Keeping the password on request by email geve the message: "Your password has expired, you may request a new one"
*Now I got a new message:
"our password has expired and is no longer valid. In order to login next time you must change it now. If for some reason you do not change it now, you may request a new random password at a later time, using the link provided when you log in".

Maybe you did reset it, maybe because of the double activation of the activation link, maybe because I turned the firewall is off..

Hopefully the message: "Thank you, Your new password has been stored."
was all I needed.

If not, I'll keep on requesting new-ones (just like finding PM-solutions) :-)

I once had a similar problem ME. IIRC I had to clear the cookies & enable it on my browser as Scott suggested. Prior to that I even reinstalled my browser for a fix because I was getting more & more frustrated, doah ! I'm not very computer literate :)

Try the search field with word .. cookies .. & author .. Scott .. & you will find Scott's numerous posts about this problem.
