Pull Flip wheel.

Post by AB Hammer »

Same size weight moving each other by position in the pull flip wheel.

Here is a test unit that I did a few years ago where positioning would cause the same size weight move the other. The wheel design is call the pull flip. I will look for the videos of the test to post later.
The device was to uses the hanging weight which is always stronger to gravity for the platforms take up some of the effect of the weight allowing it to be moved.

It comes from an old concept of ways to pull uphill. Also a toy that works on the same premise.

Last picture is of the wheel design itself. It is not on my list to do but I think a few of you will get some direction from this design.

Hi AB nice approach ,the problem as ever is that the weight is not rising on the fall and going outward it is just going outward ,not enough ob to even move it 5 degrees but fairly balanced in rotation free moving with hiccups in there movement ,but hey we live we learn we evolve we redesign its the process ,thanks for sharing there's not been a lot going on here, its nice to see a different approach, all the best Andyb.

Thanks Guys

In this game we play with a lot of ifs. So if the pendulum position of 6:00 is strong enough to complete the action in a timely manner it would run. Note the positions of the weights at their resting position.

Yer,seen the positions, it will not run, the difference is not enough, it will keel ,you have to lift the weight with a 1/4 as bessler said these weights work in pairs ,well yours do but not as i can see the wheel moving or as bessler said it could be done ,but hey it's all open to personal understanding and a vision of how it can be done ,i have to date built 320 or so wheels ,i can not really be bothered to explain exactly why but i know i am right everything must retain the power of free movement that has to be besslers best clue it's difficult to except and to evolve a design but the truth is the truth and these things will never move unless everything is in rotation simple ,all the best Andy.
