I will not argue that photosynthesis separates carbon dioxide in the atmosphere into oxygen and carbon. Nor will I argue that the amount of oxygen and carbon atoms released by photosynthesis are exactly equal to the atoms contained in the carbon dioxide converted. but in the process there appears to be a by product which leaves us with MASS.

Biomass, abbreviation for biological mass, the amount of living material provided by a given area of the earth's surface. The term is most familiar from discussions of biomass energy, that is, the fuel energy that can be derived directly or indirectly from biological sources. Biomass energy from wood, crop residues, and dung remains the primary source of energy in developing regions. Mass in this context is a completely different usage of the term. We are discussing the physics definition of mass, not the definition for a clump of organic material.
The equivalency Richard mentioned earlier is what tells us that an object's mass - its' universal measurement of matter -regardless of the strength of the gravitational field it's in, is equal to its potential energy if it's not moving. If it's moving, the mass is equal to it's kinetic energy. The speed of light is set to 1 because the formula doesn't depend on a specific system of measurement units.

and so we hand this back over to "scissors simplified" and ask the author to forgive us.

I think we should not forget that scissors may be "significantly" employed to push and pull directionally. I.e we are not left to using the scissors to move weight.

this of course is Subjective still in need of the object goal.
