11Foot8, 10Foot6 Bridges

Post by Furcurequs »

I couldn't find my earlier thread on this, so I started a new one.

It seems the 11Foot8 bridge in North Carolina is still claiming victims. From the website it shows 15 crashes in 2016 and 19 in 2015.

Here is a compilation covering approximately the last 3 years:

"11Foot8 Bridge Crash Compilation PART 2 (2013-2016)"

...and here is a compilation from another lower bridge - 10Foot6 - in Massachusetts:

I don't believe in conspiracies!
I prefer working alone.

It's well known that 13'6'' is standard clearance. Any bridge not to standard should have a swinging gate to alert vehicles that are too tall. Just a thought.
