This is nothing like your original design. I can see more comparisons in MT1 and your original design than this latest one. MT1 at least describes why this entire concept is unlikely to work.

Simplify. Build. Understand.

Hello Raj

Do you use latches with this design?

My dear Tarsier79,
I can assure you building attempts are ongoing relentless behind the scene.

But complexity of build is forcing sideline search for simpler version.

Here is the latest one.
LOOKS like MT 01 and MT 137 combined, stressing on use of pairs of CROSS-BARS, with my original Auto Gravity Wheel concept of weights moving on curved and linear paths.

@Danny Bouy
Yes, there is provision for use of latches.

Dear Daniel,
I am in no rush to produce my Auto Gravity Wheel concept testing prototype, which I hope will be built by professional engineer prototyping services, only if and when I am finally satisfied with my own testing attempts.

So far, I am happy with what I am seeing, using different materials: bicycle wheels, wood, cardboard, plastics, and billiard balls and water as weight in inflatable tyre tubes.

The only things that is worrying me is lack of precision engineering in my tests.

And then, my patent application is years away to completion.
In between, I am continuing doodling other concepts, as freewheeling mind takes me.

Proof of ongoing self-attempting Auto Gravity Wheel prototype build...using water as weight inside inflated tyre tubes...

Currently I have several Auto Gravity Wheel concepts build attempts...

Here is a picture of another attempt...

Raj,
I am always amazed at your ingenuity. You always seem to do such great builds with stuff that you find laying around.
Trying to turn the spinning in my brain into something useful before moving on to the next life.

My dear Sleepy,
I could do better, if only I had precision build machinery, expertise and right materials in my 720 square miles country, MAURITIUS in the middle of Indian Ocean.

Hi Raj

I have given your promising design some time over the years.

This and the 'Bhaskara Wheel' have things is common IMHO.

The points that could help is fixing the rotation rate with external bessler pandulums.
Other method is possible of cause.

Using the Georg Künstler jarring method is possible; however at the time I was thinking
on two other possibilities.

1. Focus on the wheel rotating one way and evolve the ramp down and ramp up.
2. Have 9 spheres which move along a track using the above ramp form;
however each section is part of the coil within a drum.
The 9th sphere is falling from the end of the last part of the coil to the first.

P.S. you can look at these as loops.

Hi Georg
Georg Künstler wrote:
Your idea from 2008 is good, but as always you start with your construction bottom heavy.
It is always the same question, from where do you get the start energy for the first movement.

And in addition the balls are swinging back and forth so that the torque is destroyed.
I hope you do not mind me putting your reply in it's rightful thread.

When I first studied this concept I accepted the device required to run at a fixed
preconditioned rotation rate.

Also working on the presumption that the 'Bhaskara Wheel' principle as valid.
Then the rocking of the rollers [sloshing] was required.

I did consider the ratchet approach for some time. Then I notices some behavior that changes the start condition to one that is more beneficial.

As a result the roller has more motion into a new cycle and when it exits the old.

Naturally the rocking generates neutral torque. The main torque affect happens as the roller drops down the ramp.

I believe this principle is not compatible with your design. That of cause used a different exploit.
