re: Is there anyone who performed the Bessler whell?
This is an update on the Kelly-Lortie project.
Just a word to let everyone know that I am living up to my promise to build this thing.
As most of you know we both have been working on models of Jims concept. Each has variations in size and materials utilized but work on the same function.
Two days ago I was ready for my first spin, it did not last long as I underrated the lateral force on the weight attachers and literally ended up with bound oilite brass bushings all out of alignment.
This machine is going to produce a lot of torque, a lot more than I anticipated. yesterday it was dis-assemble and back to my metal supplier.
I have a lot of lathe work to do before I get it back together again.
The overall picture Is very much on the positive side at this point.

P/S Noticed my rep bar went up a notch and then back down. Bill are you playing with the buttons again? :-)

My doctor told me that I was doing well enough that I could take Viagra if so desired.
My reply was; " Why put a shiny new flag pole on a condemned Building"!
Now I am off to the lab for a blood draw to check my Rat Poison levels.
The wheel is progressing and I am making the local vendors very happy. I went through 32' of square tubing yesterday and two 80" band saw blades.

Hi Ralph
Just wanted to keep the conversation going. My daughter lives in Hermiston OR. and it is going to be over a 100 Degrees today, I don't remember your shop being air conditioned, so stay cool. If you can say do you think yours and James Kelly's design will be similar to Bessler's or a different concept that works also. I plan to be in Hermiston next week, If I have time will give you a call. good luck and stay well.

Hi Ron,
Good to hear from you!
Yes it is hot here today and no my shop is not air conditioned. I just got back from a doctors visit and a little shopping. stuck my head in the shop and decided it was a good time to head for the local air conditioned gaming casino.
If you are dropping by next week I will have that wheel you wanted to see on your last trip dusted and set up for you.
As for your question relating to Jim's and my wheels comparing with Bessler's. I have been anticipating this question for some time now and do not have a sure answer. Not knowing exactly what his looked like inside will always leave reasonable doubt.
If there is any resemblance it would be to his first one-way wheel. I believe and always have that once the simple answer is found, many different concepts will soon emerge. With this thinking I have never tried to replicate his exact method. I just except historical facts that he did it without any trickery being exposed.
If you should drop by rather than call, I will have Jims design under wraps as I would not want to jeopardize my integrity with him.

I KEEP MINE under wraps. I have had various parties who were very interested in having me let them see for about 39 years. I even had one fellow who had the audacity to fly his wife from Portland Oregon and expected me to send a working model back with her. Some Japanese investors were interested. If the model went, I went. They did not want that. TO this day I don't know Why????????? rofl jim kelly MY blood work came out 2.6 or okayOE>K> Tommorow , the horsepistol
