Buzzsaw Topic
This topic has been around popping up in threads for many years.
I quick search shows references going back to 2006.

I feel it should get it's own Topic Thread.
I can understand why this topic is wanting to be discussed.

Can some ball bearings be put into the Buzzsaw and then a video be placed on youtube?Hi Georg, You are correct, no room for swinging on this Buzzsaw gravity wheel. This is not a Bessler type wheel. This was invented in 1909 and apparently worked. I still feel fortunate to be the current owner!
Quick scan came up with this:-

Hi Agor95,
here you see that the mass can following an egging shape. The egging shape will be changed into a circle when the speed is to high.
The egging shape is depending on your tournig frequence.
With this construction you can have success. And as you can see, you are working with 2 systems which have a different speed.
Good Luck.

I personally hate the idea of perfect circular motion.
It is an entirely a manmade construct, as are all of the primary geometric shapes.
An elliptical path is a much better orbit for a mass to travel around a point of attachment / attraction.
Again, what gives the mass meaning -
The String, the point of attachment or the masses weight ?
Everything requires a reference frame !
The Buzzsaw attempts to change a masses' context of how where it is felt. Bbc

I have not really looked at this device. I have see posts put passed it by as it lacks a Bessler like solution.
However it looks less trouble to simulate it's dynamics.

Looking at Charly2's overlay, my intuition screams what this buzzsaww mech was.
IMO it was a central selector to engage / disengage one mating wheel from another to create different peripheral weight-distribution combinations, with imbalance of the whole creating torque.
Rather than the bussaw having weights in the physical slots, it had, as Charly states, it had sprung pivotted pawls; this was just a hub engagement cog. A simplified planetary gear-chain.
To visualise , put you hands together palm to palm, and splay your fingers. Now rotate one hand on its palm and see the relative spacing combinations between the layer fingers, thus creating continuous OB
Edit . This is also screaming to me to be a part of a 'mechanical 'rotation-gate'' mechanism

Does this make sense, or it it just me ? 😨😂

re: Buzzsaw Topic
Agor, IMO that mechanism in the video is an obligatory part of the wheel or wheels (Bessler, Buzzsaw and Asa Jackson), it is the equivalent of a rectifier bridge used in the conversion of AC to DC but this one is mechanical.
Attached is the PDF file where Preston Stroud documented about the BSW.
From the family comments on wheel functionality, I found this one interesting:
-"One aunt swears she and a girl friend saw it running and a cousin seem to recall that the two wheels were counter rotating."-
I would dare to say that what turned in the opposite direction were the sprockets and not the two main parts of the wheel.
Also, from the document, it was stated that the front of the red inner wheel had a ring / circle attached with levers sticking out and springs attached. It is unknown if the springs / levers were used to help the weights transfer at high speeds or if they were key to making the wheel out of balance.
IMO levers are indispensable, the same way as in the Bessler's wheels.

Preston's clerical and computer aptitude was utilized in putting together the above PDF document. I reiterate that we also published on "Peswiki". A now defunct, once very popular web site. Sterling Allan was the man behind it all.
Ever wonder what happened to it? Here is the answer. His web site and all his affiliates dropped him like a hot potato! All links leading or connected to Peswiki are blocked.

re: Buzzsaw Topic
Charly2,good to hear one wheel turning one way and one the other, if you can get to a point where the weight is falling in on one side and out on the other above the axis then there is a chance that just the transfer of weight from inner to outer and you have a runner ,except that the exchange of weight is not enough ,another influencing mech a timing system and a lifting of the weight into its syncronized leave and except motion would create a high torque turning force ,this outer reacting /timing mech i believe is what Bessler referred to the 1/4 lifting the lb, it is a lose system but it causes the heavier exchanging forces to over lap providing the force into the outer rim which drives the axis ,as Bessler said nothing ever reaches a point of rest ,which is where the buzz saw fails unless the weights are on rods that can spin in the chambers then maybe ,imho of course and it happens to match my research at the moment ,remember no one saw the center of the wheel so this line of research looks very rewarding ,wow said the a few times now ,all the best Andyb.

There isn't any way the weights could pass each other on the inner and outer wheels.

re: Buzzsaw Topic
There are several posibilities with this wheel, I will keep your descripion in mind, I find it interesting Andy.
Thanks for the photos Justsomeone, I already downloaded them for reviewing all the little details with calm.
Some questions, I see in the pic that the weights are very corroded and there is a hole, are there any signs that the ends were threaded or at least one side (for a screw) ?, the same for the four holes that are seen in the spokes of the internal wheel, are they threaded?
