Slowly but surely, my Gravity pendulums and swinging weights wheel concept testing build goes on.

Build lacks TOP precisions, but shows concept to those who cannot visualize from my drawings.

I haven't been able to get spur gear wheels B and C . Instead I am now using belt to get the 2:1 rpm ratio of wheel B and wheel C.

Needn't worry Raj ,

The last guy who was jealous of a PM machine was a guy called Wagner , and he's been dead for more than 250 years approx .

The likelihood of someone on this site being jealous of your design is pretty slim .

Here's the recipe of my SIMPLEST wheel concept that is currently being cooked:

1 is a wheel of eight units diameter on horizontal axle(2).
3 are two T-shaped pendulums with HEAVY weight-bobs and 2 units long
opposite arms , diametrically equidistant from axle(2)
4 are ratcheted one-way bearings/pivots.
5 is a single weight on middle of bar(6) connected/pivoting on ends of right arms of T-shaped pendulums.

EXPECTED motions:

(a) Wheel(1) will rotate clockwise on axle(2).

(b) T-shaped pendulums(3) will swing counter-clockwise, ONLY towards the descending, because of swinging on ratcheted one-way bearings/pivots(4) and move around the axle with the wheel, with heavy bobs always keeping an upright vertical positions.

(c) Single weight(5) will always stay, move with bar(6) clockwise ONLY on the descending side of wheel, providing continuous torque and angular momentum to wheel to rotate.

That's what I'm cooking for now.

It'll bottom out Raj. It will seek a point of rest where the center of mass is at its lowest height of potential energy.

Edit: As long as that point lies beneath the axle, the wheel is a no go.

Hi Raj,
hopefully you have detected that this toys are top heavy pendulums.
one of them will not work, you need 2 of them as shown on the toys page.
Have also a closer look to the swinging bars, there are some little weight on each side to adjust the swinging.

The highest PE position of top weight must be the center of wheel.

The combined COM of weights must be below the center, ALWAYS however slightly rising and falling, on the descending side of rotating wheel.

This is what my current Gravity pendulums swinging weights powered wheel concept will be doing.

I have checked and rechecked my workings of COM calculations, which show the above is possible.

These drawings could be self-explanatory:

1 is a wheel.
2 and 3 are fix crossbar/axle.
4 are swinging weights on hinged/elbowed levers.
5 are levers pivoting on rim of 1 at 45 degrees intervals, in hinged/elbowed connection with 6 as levers pivoting on fix crossbar 3.
7 are vertical stands for 1.

N.B: Measurements are precise to scale.

Raj, measurements are not calculations. Further up the page you have individual torques, and from what I can see there is not one single right triangle delineating those torques into their vector components. I also do not see any actual torque values written on your drawings. I also do not see any values for masses, nor do I see moment arm lengths. Do you have your sum of forces, your SUM of torques, etc? Have you drawn out free body diagrams? Have you used any of the following basic kinematic equations?

Translation:
v = vo + at
v^2 = vo^2 + 2a (x - xo)
y = 0.5gt^2
y = yo + voyt + 0.5gt^2
vy = Voy + gt
voy = (y - yo - 0.5gt^2)/t
x = 0.5at^2
x = xo + vot + 0.5at^2

Rotation:
ω = ω[o] + αt
θ = θ[o] + ω[o]t + 0.5αt^2
ω^2 = ωo^2 + 2α (θ - θo)
a = αr - ω^2

Newton's Laws:
1. FN = 0; p = mv; I = Ft = ∆mv
2. a = Fnet/m
3. R = √[(F1x + F2)^2 + Fy^2] (for magnitude of resultant)

(I won't even ask about Work, Power, Energy, or Conservation equations for now.)
