I been thinking they were used during tuning. Like training wheels on a bicycle.

Fixing the rotation to allow adjustments to spring strength.

I would think there was a process were he worked on the above.

Then let the wheel run to fined it's rotation speed and then tune again until the wheel ran without this form of stabilisers.

I'm finishing this week the magnetic prototype, you'll see, I had to redo the model...
Then I come back seriously on the Bessler miracle......
As already explained above, I assume this, and what do you think?

The arrival weight, depending on the material hit and the height, could be multiplied by 100, it's huge.

Explanation :
the equivalent of the deceleration brought back in mass undergoing terrestrial gravitation.
a ball of petanque: 750 Gr
A petanque ball that falls one meter high on a pillow will weigh about 800 grams to 1,200 kilograms at impact...
A petanque ball that falls one meter high on an iron or concrete base will weigh about 20 Kg.
Enough to feed a system, which, even if only half of it is recovered, should work in the right direction.
How to bring the ball back to its point of origin?

On a simple lever we know that it will not work, it is the impact that we must study very closely.

Imagine the slamming of a whip, but upside down!!!!!

MT13
composition in my opinion:

An inertia disc composed of either a single disc or two masses (with or without unbalance).
the inertia disc will receive the small gear (9 teeth).
The wheel will receive the large gear (108 teeth) and will be offset.
The wheel will receive 12 weights that will have to be passed from left to right, as simply as possible with the least friction...
When the inertia disc makes one turn, the wheel will make 1/12 of a turn.
The pestles will remain in the boxes, and eventually the two balancers.

Hello to all,

I installed the missing "cam", despite the 3D printing, many small details are to review. :)
It is not significant but this model has not yet shown everything and it makes me want to go further.
I took a lot of pleasure to build it.

Very nice augmented (flywheel) MT13 ! The ramp works well. I can see how the 3D printer makes it more pleasurable for you. Fun to experiment with new things, when they go well.

Great Build THX. MT13 was never going to self rotate, however your build is close to best case scenario. I didn't think it would run that well.

Hi thx4,
I see the ramp as a problem in your construction.
Nevertheless a good construction to see the device in motion.

Your construction is using a parametric tilting oscillation.
What is required for a self running device is a parasitic oscillation.

A way maybe when your ramp is wobbeling, can do an own motion, assisted from gravity.

An example for the parasitic oscillation is used from nearly every government in the world, it is called VAT.
Best regards

Georg

I agree with Georg, the ramp in MT13 due to its shape could actually be a pendulum like action and not fixed. Finding the right amount of counter balance is going to be tricky. That said not sure you are barking at the right tree. Very nice build; with those building skills nothing is not buildable.
What goes around, comes around.

indeed, but not an impact as usual.

It is a variation of the
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rammbock

In my opinion Bessler used this to get the weight to oscillate.

You see that the Rammbock is on rollers.
When the complete construction is rolled and suddenly stopped, then the tree is swinging upwards and ahead.
This is the indirect impact function.

In other words, you have to stop the moving carrier suddenly, as result the tree will swing.

Carrier and tree are moved horizontal and the carrier is stopped.

I totally agree with you on the principle, it is the implementation that remains complicated.

On the MT13, or any MTx, it lacks "the looting hammers", I do not know yet where to put them. :)

Hi thx4,
I think you noticed that your development is different to that what Bessler liked to teach you.

In MT13 the middle part looks like a pendulum.
It is a pemdulum but a special one.
It is transfering energy from one side to the other.
It is an oscillator, and it will oscillate like a pendulum.

Now my extended view of this special pendulum.
The hole, in the middle of the pendulum is bigger than necessary.
In this case, the mass is not hanging on the middle axle.
The mass is pressing on the rim, using the force of gravity.
When my view is correct, then the complete pendulum is egging.

A must to earn energy from gravity.

The pendulum is therefore able to swing left and right and also up and down.
I have described that as a swinging in the room, using x and y axis.
Best regards

Hello Georg,
Beesler was able to put a cam in the place of a pendulum. I have a bit of mistrust towards B, he tries to hide more than to show us, it is a very particular turn of mind. Lol
Just for fun I'm going to make a pendulum on the central axis (in plan B), you can modify it, seeing it in operation changes things a lot.
At this moment and thanks to the first model it appeared a lot of default, that I am correcting, complete reprinting of the big wheel as well as of the weight holders (badly proportioned)
at the end of the week we should see it more clearly.

Hello to all,

https://ahp.li/8ae3de5203d998e39b48.jpg

The black wheel is 120 gr lighter than the white one while being 10mm thicker. (36h of printing without error)
It's the first time I try to distribute the fill rate differently.
The modifications have spoken, the wheel turns smoothly, and I gain in left/right weight difference. The weight on the masses is better distributed, so lifting will become easier.

In principle end of the morning we will see more. :D
