I am looking for a simulator program to try a few ideas out with, but i cant seem to find any . I used WM2D a few years ago but i cant seem to find that program anywhere unless one pays quite a bit of money .
If anyone knows What other sim programs are out there that are free ?

Hey rounder,
I usually use a 2d program called Physion that incorporates the Box 2d physics game engine. It's pretty good for quick simulations, but it lacks an easy way to graph variables. You can do that through scripting, but I've not done very much of that yet myself.
Unfortunately, the program website also seems to have disappeared, but there are copies of the program still available online - at least the Windows version. I run an older 32 bit Linux version.
The 3D animation program Blender also has a built in physics engine, so that is another option.
The other two I've messed with are freeCAD and Golems. There are other threads in the forum where all of these are discussed a bit.
Here are links to all of these:

Algodoo may be an option if you are running Windows or a Mac. I've never tried it myself.
