I received a link today pointing to an ex-contributer here Ken. He is publishing a book on amazon, here is the link. 804 pages no less! Its called,
"The Triumphant Orffyrean Perpetual Motion Finally Explained!"

Too long for me but if anyone has the necessary staying power Id be interested to know what he has come up with.

Would your publisher not have staff available to check this book for copyright violation?

Naturally you and your publisher would be out of pocket if this new book has copied sections of your work.

From reading past posts of Ken's on John Collins's blog, and if my memory serves me correctly, I think that Ken was searching for "clues" in the Bessler portraits and modeling his ideas in WM2D and that he planned on claiming success and publishing his ideas if he got a "working" simulation - but without actually doing a real world build.

I hope I've characterized his former intentions correctly. Based upon the quote above, then, it seems this could be the situation. If anyone knows if I'm mistaken about any of this, feel free to correct me.

Dwayne, you're not mistaken. Ken's 'working' solution in his book is a simulation.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Google Books serves up a fraction of many copyrighted works, and so I noticed that the fraction they serve up of Ken's would be big enough to make an entire book for many authors. ...lol

I couldn't bring myself to read very much of it, though.

In the book introduction, Ken wrote: The problem was that I did not want to just produce another
biography of the man and the external features of his several
wheels because that had already been done adequately by other
authors and, originally, even by Bessler himself in several works
he published during his lifetime. Rather, I wanted to produce a
work wherein I actually gave the specifics of how he constructed
his marvelous wheels with enough detail so that they could again
be duplicated! Considering that the secret perpetual motion
mechanics Bessler discovered and used was never clearly revealed
by him during his lifetime and that over the last three centuries
literally thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of inventors had
tried without any hint of success to reproduce his wheels, this,
obviously, was not going to be an easy goal for me to achieve.
Adding to the disparagement i faced was the fact that today‘s
scientific orthodoxy still, almost in its entirety, considers the
construction of any type of self—motive machinery as a physical
impossibility.

Yet, despite these daunting obstacles and only through the
most incredible and improbable occurrence of good fortune, I
finally did manage to solve the mystery of Bessler‘s wheels with a
solution that I found to be both plausible and, most importantly,
in agreement with the overall properties of his wheels as
described in his published works. But, that miracle could not have
taken place without a lot of help.

That help took the form of a set of alphanumerical,
geometrical, and mathematical clues that Bessler had carefully
hidden in two frontispiece portraits that appear in his last
published book which specified the physical construction
parameters ofthe secret “perpetual motion structures" contained
within the drums of his wheels. Those clues were designed to
appear completely random and meaningless to the curious who
merely glanced over them while reading his published work.
However. to the serious reverse engineer of his inventions who
was actually making a consistent and ongoing effort to
reconstruct his wheels, those clues would, by the most careful of
analysis, take on a totally new meaning. For such a person, the
clues were like the markings on stones and trees that can enable
an observant person wandering through a dark and foreboding
forest to eventually make his way out of it and back to safety and
sunshine again.

Another critically important factor in my eventual success was
that. unlike past hopeful reverse engineers of Bessler's wheels, 1
had long ago given up the laborious task of handcrafting physical
models in favor of using the latest computer simulation software
to “construct" virtual models of his first prototype wheel that
only existed as stored data on my computer's hard drive and
could only be seen and run on its monitor’s screen, with such
assistance, 1 was able to compress, literally, decades of work into
only a few years and to do so with a minimum of expense and the
risk of injury that always exists whenever one is working with

holding the 6 ounce lead ingot end weight would begin rotating clockwise and back toward its
radial stop again until final contact with the stop piece was made shortly after the weighted
lever’s pivot pin’s center axis had passed the 3:00 position of the drum. At this location, the two springs attached to the weighted lever would also have returned to their normal
unstretched lengths which were 1 inch at a minimum.
The net effect, as all of the one-directional Gera prototype wheel’s eight weighted levers
rotated in their own directions and rates about their particular pivot pins during drum
rotation, was that their collective center of gravity would always remain on one side of the
center axis of the axle which was on its descending side. This imbalance then produced a
constant torque that accelerated the prototype wheel. The axle torque was always greatest
when the prototype wheel was stationary and its constant power output, just a mere 0.2 watts,
was greatest immediately after its self-starting had commenced.
He does give a shoutout to JC in the intro regarding translations.

It would be a dull book if it didn't have pictures, and more importantly pictures of his successful simulation ?

Which is the reason for him writing the book, yes ?

FWIW, the Gera wheel diameter was 2.5 ell = about 4.6 feet.

Fwiw, he thinks Bessler built an earlier 3 foot version at Gera.
The next description he gives has the 4.6 foot version.
