I like to give Bessler the benefit of the doubt concerning his character. He was a man with flaws like anyone else but at least he acknowledged God's sovereignty in his writings. He lived in a time where peasants existed in a most meager fashion. Who can blame him for wanting to be well compensated for years of his life & precious money spent to create such a revolutionary invention? As for taking his secret to his grave, the poor fellow was 65 years old, living in poverty, starving to death & in a weakened state when he fell from the windmill. In my opinion his life's story is a tragedy of epic proportions and would probably make an excellent motion picture!

I like very much what you just wrote, and before as well, gc.
A little respectful commiserant pity for brother Johann seems justified, I think.

Dear Gil Simo,
This is a splendid topic. I am happy to see it.
Back in the day that was Johann's, so little was known of what was to later become 'physics', really.
Over on JC's site right now (in "More Musings"), one can learn that Newton coined the needed term "gravity," supposedly from the Latin 'gravitas'.
Still, to-this-day, they of the physics smart set do not 'know' (here meant as in the purest sense of the word's meaning) what gravity truly is.
It seems as diaphanous mystery itself might: The more one grasps for it, the lesser the ensuing result.
To wit
Since it is omnipresent wherever mass is to be found and, since if is omniscient knowing all things that are of matter that can never escape it's influence and, since it is omnipotent to mass, again because unable to escape it's sovereign authority as unshieldable, then why not at least provisionally assume that it might in-and-of itself be a direct manifestation of the Divine Will?
And as a natural seeming result, is not much subject to analyses which aim is to dissect it into some supposed constituent parts?
Ineffable!
I am of the belief that, when Bessler's creation does manifest materially, operationally, that it will be found to produce energy from Nowhere!!
Yes, it is so. The spiritual aspect of Johann's Triumph is so thick, as to constitute an astoundment-veritable.

Re: re: Beware/Text contains God word!
I just came across your last post while searching old threads for an answer to a question. It wasn't my intention to ignore your post, I do appreciate the kind words. Thinking back on the circumstances in my life during the year 2015 I think the reason I overlooked your post was probably because of severe family turmoil that took my attention away from the B/W Forum for a time. My apologies!primemignonite wrote:I like very much what you just wrote, and before as well, gc.

I can agree with that.
It is a matter of crushing the head of the demon in Alemania Bessler's wheel.
