Please don't send new users an e-mail containing their password!

When you become a member here you receive a confirmation e-mail containing your password in clear text. Further to this it requests that you keep this confirmation e-mail for future reference.

WOW! Simply WOW!

This is extremely unsafe and very irresponsible.

Please refrain from this. If someone cannot remember a password they just entered they will be useless to this forum's cause anyways. In all cases it is better to reset a password than to send it via e-mail.
