The Moon is rotating and the Earth is rotating faster then the Moon's orbit.
Orbit rotation is being transferred to the Moons causing a 1cm increates in it's orbit.[/b]
Correct the Moon rotates very slowly. Then the seaframing is causing its orbit decay.

The moon can't rotate because it is tide-locked...as far as I know lol. As for the earth rotating...well that's another matter altogether. :)

It takes approximately 27 days for the moon to rotate once on its axis. As a result, the moon does not seem to be spinning but appears to observers from Earth to be keeping almost perfectly still. Scientists call this synchronous rotation.

That's a really neat factoid I had forgotten about. I wonder what the odds are of that happening and if it's found elsewhere in the universe?

Here's what I meant: it rotates in exactly the same time as it takes to orbit the Earth. It rotates...it just doesn't appear that way from our perspective. So I misspoke. It DOES rotate, but also doesn't, depending on how you look at it lol. :)

In a nutshell, what I'm proposing is that this could be viewed as a modification of curved spacetime. In that smaller rotating bodies maintain their orbits around larger rotating bodies. And a orbiting body that is not rotating will suffer orbit decay either towards or away from the parent body.

In any case, you could get one force to overcome the other two and change the result.
Technically no...centripital force in this case is the byproduct of the friction force, because the friction force acts in lieu of a tether.
Cp force is always a “byproduct “ of something else. Gravity, tether tension, normal reaction (wall of death), surface friction. The different circumstances are lumped together and called center seeking forces for simplicity’s sake I guess.

This would also explain why the slingshot effect works so well.

If the object being shot were rotating as it went around the larger object it would be caught and begin to orbit the larger object thus no slingshot effect.

Of course speed of rotation and the objects mass would have to be taken into account.

The reason a slingshot maneuver might fail wouldn’t be that the smaller body was rotating on its axis, it would be from getting too far in to the gravity well and not having enough velocity ( obtained from the orbit of the larger body) to escape orbit.

I do like the idea of the cone as a good model for motion.

While we are talking about the Moon Earth Orbit.

I trust we know there are two tides on the surface and one in the inner core.

Something to think about.

you get a deforming, also on land.
the complete land is lifted and sink by about 40 cm every day.

Would it be reasonable to believe these two movements cause 1. Increased core temperatures & 2. More but smaller earthquakes and improved plate tectonics?

yes, the permanent deforming will produce heat in the core,
and yes, it is the starter for the earthquakes.
Like a ball which you press and release, again and again.

The improved plate tectonics is a different Story.

The good thing having plates moving on the Earth is :-

1. The events happen little and often at known places.
2. Release heat and pressure that build up.

If this was not happening then a full globe extinction would happen more often.

See you later
